Death of HM Queen Elizabeth II

We’ve not received that message yet down my way @FunVampire so definitely won’t be meeting that deadline

I’m just going to tell my people that personal life, then work commitments come first. If and only if they have time after them, they can crack on. But holy hell… What a clueless missive.

Thats over, as of tonight.:man_facepalming:
Back to slating each other i guess…:man_shrugging:

I think they mean the cadet 2 to the left not the Flt Lt.

Further to this the Dulwich, City of London, Pangborne, Winchester, and Wilson’s school CCF were the ones who took part who HM specifically chose (so I’m told)

I think for me the part that hit me the most, and really said “it’s the end”, was the orb and scepter along with the crown being removed, then the piper playing as the coffin was lowered.

The feeling of, she’s always been around, now is really is gone to us all.

@Tornado i was fine for most of the day but what got me going was when Garter King Of Arms said Her Late Majesty’s style for the last time as the coffin was being lowered bit. The air got very suddenly dusty as that was going on.

Similarly, I was feeling a bit bewildered and all of sudden he was reading the same style for Charles III - then I was just done in.

Confused to why an officer is wearing a white belt? That’s not a thing!

Hats off to the Met police and the wider police forces in the U.K…

They’ll have had a few sleepless nights. No obvious disruption. I’m sure their officers have been busy in the run up and today.

As much as they get a kicking in the press they should be recognised when they get it right.

Pulling an event that size off without incident, with a new head of service in the past months. An extraordinary achievement.

Well done our boys and girls on the thin blue line.

Agreed, at Windsor today they also did a phenomenal job.

I certainly think today will have also inspired many young children towards a career in the police or the armed forces.

My young one took a great deal of interest in the uniforms today. She has only seen one blue suit in her life and seeing so many on the TV made something click in her head.

So very proud of all the boys and girls today, of all stripes. They did Her Majesty and all of us proud.

Particular shoutout to the QCS lad at Windsor who got his world rocked by a horse tail earlier.

Guys, read the room, and more importantly the name of the room.

I can’t believe I, Mr Inappropriate himself is having to say this here, but let’s have a sense of decorum!

Shows what happens when a large organisation has an Op London Bridge folder on a server with laid out plans and agreement from the Palace on the SOP to open and act upon within an hour of the news breaking

Pity some hasn’t learnt that!

Rumour is a large part of that binder got binned over the past week!

CCF :frowning: There was a media pic of all the CCF going round on Twitter yesterday.

Don’t worry Comdt AC was all over it in his missif last night, looks like it was authorised

I did see in the Twitter tweet that the CCF had HM the Queen as their colonel-General hence their involvement. As such, perfectly fair for them to take part.
