Death of HM Queen Elizabeth II

my sad face was around the RAFAC Officer…

Not unfairly. I wonder if she is ex-regular OR and didn’t know officers didn’t do white belts?

You’d have thought that her TEST SNCO would have done a drill and uniform check prior to the event though. To me this is a failure on their part rather than the officer who may not wear No1s otherwise.

Maybe we can avoid criticising someone in public who:
A) Isn’t here to defend themselves
B) Was probably doing the best they could, given the circumstances.

C) Was surrounded by enough people who could have steered her straight, but did not.

Sorry, maybe I wasn’t clear enough. Move on to the topic and stop harassing someone or I’ll lock the thread.

I posted that picture to show there was a cadet presence. I’m sorry the direction it’s turned. In hindsight, I should have left alone. I am sorry for that.

Maybe that should be the case now. The thread has run its course.

Saddens me to say, her majesty is now gone.

This is slightly off topic, but only just, & still relevant & related.

When King George VI passed away, what was the ATC response then?

Appreciate we were exactly 9 years old then but just wondering if there are any photos or film of the Corps back then & how the organisation marked things…

Indeed.
God bless HM The Queen.

Long live the King.

Not sure where to look, but the British Pathe library might be a good start.

That’s the King’s Funeral Procession. If anyone’s got a few spare minutes you can watch and see if you spot any ATC involvement?

The library itself is a goldmine of all kinds of records, and has some great films featuring cadets from the war years.
