You know what really makes me happy?

I love iced coffee and ‘normal’ coffee. But I know many people who think having it cold is a sin :joy:

Allowing hot coffee to go cold is a sin. Drinking cold coffee that was specifically made to be drunk cold isn’t.

Heating up cold brew makes you the antichrist.

MMH. Won at plumbing and saved myself £100 call out charge - plus subsequent labour and parts charges.

MMExtraHappy. I actually won at plumbing last month - but daren’t do a gloating post incase my win was short lived, the boiler exploded, my house burned down etc.

Admittedly, the issue was the piezo not firing correctly - so I just swapped out the D-cell batteries for some fresh ones… But I still did the fault finding and fixing myself. And without consulting YouTube! Or paying a plumber. So I’m chalking it up as a win.

Got my second CWO on the bounce becoming the LLC for our lieutenancy area tonight! Pretty awesome for one to be handing over to the other.

Fantastic to see two incredibly capable individuals being recognised in this way.

Well done. This reflects well on the unit and its leadership, in addition to both individuals. Extra kudos for not confusing lieutenancy areas with counties.

I considered confusing the two deliberately, just for you.

But then I remembered how I get when people call badges crests and decided I need to be better than that. :joy:

Its kind of a big deal in this house hold.

The boss lady is like a human shazzam

Last pub quiz I won - it was a few years back - we were immediately barred for being ‘too clever’. I did have 2 PhD students on the team.

Daft really as we’d planned to spend the winnings at the bar.

Me and my FS once did the quiz at his rugby club, tables of 8 and we smashed them with just 2 of us.

House contract came in the post yesterday… :grimacing:

Looking foward to air bnbing it from you

Went to the turkish barbers in the village this morning.

Turns out they are German-Turkish and manage to maintain the whole 45 min covo in German. 1100+ days of duo lingo has paid off

Took part in volunteering for the London Sheep Drive along Southwark Bridge today.

What a fantastic (and quirky) tradition of the City of London.

But still have six months until property take over, as I have about 6 total weeks not deployed between now and then.
