It’s summer, it’s grey, it’s muggy and it’s raining.
Yep, I’m definitely home
Got co-pilot at work now, its exponentially made my life easier
Can you write me some code to make my mouse jiggle slightly making it appear I am at my desk even when I am not
That certainly would make your life easier
I’ve been playing with it as well - it’s definitely helped ease the writing of some of my reports!
Called phone provider to sort out an admin issue. Done quickly, no fuss, agent polite.
Then offered me an upgraded data plan at no extra cost and no ties in to a new contract, on basis of loyalty.
(Talkmobile; would recommend if you need a good value SIM for your squadron)
MMH - Just disassembled my steering column to get to the wiper stalk assembly. Pulled the whole thing apart, gave it a good clean with some isopropyl and put it all back together, which has thankfully fixed the problem.
Bloody terrifying removing the airbag to get to it all, though. Felt like defusing a bomb!
Nandos for breakfast is a game changer
Gatwick?
Or have they started offering this more widely?
Yeah gatwick, trimmed menu though
More info required.
MMH - I actually managed to get a £95 gift card for signing up to broadband.
Months ago I moved to Vodafone after using a comparison site and it had the ‘free £95 reward’ thing. Except you sign up and then they say you can’t claim for 120 days, then you come to claim and they want the number they gave you 120 days ago… etc. PITA that most people don’t bother.
Anyway, saved all the info and set a reminder. After half a dozen emails back and forth I’ve actually managed to get the gift card!
MMH: Received a call from a former volunteer from my time in Peru. Turns out when things go wrong (hit by a car whilst bikepacking around France - she’s fine but her bike needs some TLC) she still sees me as a good person to turn to for help.
Nice to know I made an impact with my leadership.
Slightly amended for you. All whilst fighting poop management from above. Well done!
MMH (But also a massive tearjerker)
A fitting tribute for my colleague and friend (who was an Ex Air Cadet) as we repatriated his ashes back to Biggin.
SF50 with Spitfire Escort in Vic formation
(5th most tracked flight yesterday evening on FR24)
Water Cannon Salute
@themajor and @Tornado and any other secret HIOW lurkers on here absolutley nailed the first residential training weekend since 2018.
Might try and join the whole weekend next time!
MMH!
Our unit has just hit 50 cadets, meaning we’ve grown as much as we can (and as much as I could have hoped).
It feels great to see so many young adults having a blast and really getting into everything. It’s a real privilege to be a part of it.
With a great staff team (also growing) who all have clear interests and passions, it’s going to be a great future in the short term.
The best part has been reading the forms and talking with the parents. It’s clear that a huge driver is word of mouth, but that a significant amount of that is parents talking to friends and work colleagues.
That’s just the highest praise.
What are you going to do when your OC Wing Reg Comdt tells you that you have to increase by another 30%
