Backbarrow bridge broke my Ocoee, the weir below it almost broke me!
After much frustration of trying to find out what happened before my colleague and I arrived (up to 18 months prior to our arrival, in fact) I’ve finally finished writing 2023’s annual report for the Charity Commission!
Just managed to sort out a cadet (not one of “mine”) who is at uni & wants to be an Eng O (despite my protestations!
) - going to an operational base to job shadow a JEngO for a day or so. Couple of beers owed to one of my reasonably placed high up contacts. ![]()
Wasn’t Cab, was it? ![]()
If only…
It was a very nice cadet that I met at Syerston - finishing off their Silver GS. Asked about their career aspirations & we went from there.
New, personalised sqn banner has arrived in time for Remembrance. Excellent quality and will really look good on parade ![]()
out of interest where did you source it from?
Newton Newton seem to be the default name so curious if that was your chosen route too?
Yep, them.
Cant really beat newton newton tbh
agreed.
there are actually mentioned in the RBL Ceremonial Handbook as the source for Branch Standards and accessories
Stitched or printed?
Stitched/embroidered. Would recommend, very good quality.
Just be prepared to take out a mortgage first …
You get what you pay for.
You can get one from Cadet Direct for half the price, but it looks like a 6 year old has made it.
Yep, and they don’t do personalised as far as I know.
I assume they ensure the background of the emblem is white?
The picture on the front of the guide that was shared further up has the ATC emblem with a sky blue background…
They make whatever you ask them to, you send in your approved artwork and they send you a proof to check. So if you have an officially approved badge it should have a white background and they’ll make that.
MMH - and giving me warm fuzzy feels - seeing a Lynx Wildcat with it’s little winglets fully tooled up. It looks so mean!!!
It does
Video here (can only find it on Facebook for some reason)
