I think heā€™ll cling on. The key advantage of filling your cabinet with sycophantic, spineless, ignorant, stupid yes men is that thereā€™s no one in it who can stand up to the boss.

Yeah, they have messed up the whole thing with a half cocked no confidence vote the other week. If they had held off until after the by-elections he would already be gone.

Thatā€™s why he got friends to submit letters before the by-election

Sounds just like Blair and Brown were.

Letā€™s see if he goes for a snap election to test the Conservative MPs resolve :man_shrugging:t2:

I think he will be gone by September.

1922 committee elections inside the fortnight. Expect people who want him gone to take the positions. Then a rule change to allow for another VNC - the knives are out. Bye bye BoJo, itā€™s been real.

A snap General Election would be nice, but I am a realist haha.

A snap general election would be burning everything down just because he can.

He needs to go for the good of the party and the leadership election needs to be done quickly and with as little public venom as possible.

And the BBC orchestrating the situation with the media, and to think we pay a tax for it to survive.

Making me happy - some great cadet activities coming up over the next few weeksā€¦

Making me not so happy - trying to work out how we now go about claiming VA and Travel, do we still submit the forms? Is it electronic yet?

if he is still leader by the time the party conference in October takes place i will be shockedā€¦to me that is a ideal ā€œresetā€ opportunity

Still use all the normal forms in the normal (old) way. The only change is that you now use your JPA service number instead!

BBC News are suggesting that the current committee might go down the same route to protect their own positions.

I wouldnā€™t be surprised if he responded to a failed vote of no confidence by claiming it was rigged and that his mandate had been stolenā€¦

He will be gone by end of July.
That way a new PM can address the party conference.

Having just watched a very spicy PMQā€™s I subscribe to this too.

Sajidā€™s statement must have made for difficult listening for everyone on the front bench
