You know what really makes me happy?

That would be incredible! Still one of the best bands I’ve seen live!

I really liked this bit from the Crown Jewels program on Friday night.

(not sure how to embed videos so they auto play)

In short HM is being interviewed about the imperial state crown that is in front of her & the interviewer wants her to look more closely at the black prince ruby. Knowing that only the Royal Jeweller can move the crown he asks if the crown can be moved closer to HM.

Before the Jeweller can do so the Queen reaches over grabs the crown with her bare hands and brings it over to herself and the says all innocently “well it’s what I normally do”. Jeweller & interviewer try to pretend everything’s normal.:joy:

Son is hitting the terrible twos a few months early. (Par for the course for him I guess.)

But he’s now started to find things absolutely hilarious. Laughing at the TV, laughing at me as I groan when I stand up.
Honestly that laugh. MMH.

My sentence in the mags got shifted to the District judge, and it took about 2 minutes (as opposed to 20 before a bench), the next train from the local station was a direct train to home, as opposed to either a change or a walk, its glorious sunshine on the day that the lesson I’m teaching at canoe club is rescues and I have only one case tomorrow which I’ve already read. Brilliant day.

Saw Top Gun Maverick today. For the second time. It was just as good as the first time around.

Tempted to go back again.

My kids bursting into the room, like it’s Christmas Morning…

“The shopman’s been, the shopman’s been!!
He snuck into our house while we were sleeping”

Yes, Father Tescos arrived last night.

We unloaded the cold stuff into the fridge/freezer, but loaded the other stuff onto the sides, to clear out the old and load the new. Was a “do it tomorrow” kind of thing…

Finally tracked down an electrical gremlin on my car to a loose wire! It’s only taken me 3 months and about 20 hours of work! :upside_down_face:

Been in my new role at work now for two full months. Been a massive learning curve, tight timescales, but the team is a good one to be in.

One member has been a great mentor, making time in their busy schedule to peer check my work, offer advice and to guide me through some high priced bidding for new work.

So I put a “Thank you” into our reward system early this week and today… it’s been accepted…

She’ll be receiving a certificate and an amazon voucher for her work.

Can I say a big Thank You to you as well for taking the time to recognise the help. It’s something I’m trying to do more of, rather than just moaning about the bad. It’s taking time to change my mindset but seeing that it has effects like your colleague getting some recognition is something that will help me improve

We’ve got an INSET on Monday and doing a series of science activities for staff, we’ll have lots of smoke, fire, bangs, pops, sparks, smells and gasps, yelps, laughter … kids again. An hour away from doing T&L, safeguarding and all the other stuff that normally sends people into a stupor.
Off the back of this, art, food tech, music and DT have said they’d like to do something to break the drudge of INSETs.
