I’ve just found this on sharepoint Sharepoint “How to”
Apologies, but it’s been a few years since I registered!

This just seems like they’ve listed every possible way of doing it and leaving it up to the individual CFAV to decide what’s best. I guess if something then goes wrong because of that decision, its not a decision that’s been made by anyone senior.
This is however all we can see. There may well have been other information via email or otherwise?
“Without further adieu” It’s ADO
Well This is not reducing the admin burden…
why can’t the system acknowledge that all the Mandatory training is in date and just give a green light…??
That is pretty bad.
Stuck between a rock and a hard place I’m afraid. RC wants us to check mandatory training on applications. Unable to do so without people adding it to the general quals page in addition to it being pulled in from Ultilearn.
I agree, it’s a ballache.
@james_elliott is there any chance of the mandatory training reporting being improved any time soon?
Except that isn’t possible, you can add the majority of elements as general quals. Off the top of my head Safeguarding (Old F2F update) + Climatic Injuries are the only ones available.
WSO / RSO / Corps can check Ultilearn Quals for staff if they wish, it’s a ball ache yes but possible.
Perhaps you need WHQ to provide a list of approved up to date staff. The check should also not just be limited to DS but apply to all staff.
Edit to add. This is a local management issue and shouldn’t be checked/applied by the SME. We need more trust.
We also need systems to implement policy
So, every application I check, I’d have to request the most up to date spreadsheet?
No chance, that would take forever (not least the fact it would probably take several days to get the thing, slowing down my response time to an application).
Totally agree. Unfortunately, neither of those happen effectively so it seems to the stick approach in denying activities to anyone not up to date.
You can add health & safety, safeguarding, prevent, climatic injuries.
I was under the impression staff would be suspended until the mandatory training was complete. If Wing froze accounts then they couldn’t be added to events?
Trouble is if you suspend people on SMS they can’t access UL to complete the training.
The irony…
@WelshML I challenged the position on checking of mandatory trg based on it not really being an SME job and achievable through other means (i.e. Trg Officers and Wing management) so it is no longer required of us checking AT apps.
Win on both fronts.
In our Wing, the upcoming Wing led events staff have been warned they’ll be kicked off events if they’re not compliant with ACTO99
Spending all afternoon and evening at A&E. Getting home at midnight, ordering dinner from the only place still open and when it arrives it’s the wrong thing and you’re allergic to it. Then when you phone the place to get the right stuff they’ve closed.
Hope it’s nothing too dramatic and that you’re okay! The waiting times can be long sometimes, but the NHS should look after you. Was in a while ago and got very well looked after!
GMG. Gout.
GMG. L3 Assessing qual. So unbelievably dull.
