Empty words to placate them. It’s all a bit young Mr Grace.

BS Bingo cards would get filled PDQ at HQAC what does “key enablers” and “force multipliers” mean? I’ve never felt enabled by any of the permanent staff, oppressed and treated like a naughty boy yes, the only vital contribution they make is coming with ways to make their jobs look more important.

Never felt enabled by anyone at HQAC. Mind that said if I were staff Id feel a bit insulted to have been sent this tweet. If CAC is so enamoured of her staff why doesnt she tell them properly or better yet give them a bonus.Personally my main contact was with pay and allowances and personnel. The pay people were great as ive been down there once in the dim past and know how much pressure they are under due to lack of staff and the ridiculous state of affairs where they have to deal with every claim .Never understood why that couldnt have been devolved down to Region or Wing level.Personnel were mostly unhelpful but always seemed to be able to lose paperwork very easily.

It’s not in the commandants ability to give bonuses.
All the permanent staff are civil service staff.
They work under civil service and MOD guidelines.

She is merely the top civil servant in the RAFAC. Who also happens to be FTRS Air Commandant.

Posting this sort of crud on Twitter, isnt for the benefit of anyone except the poster.

  1. Makes them feel better about themselves.
  2. Gives them a semi legitimate reason to blag on about how many ‘reportees’ they have.
  3. Good PR for when she moves on and tries to either get a real job or a top notch with loads of benefits volunteer role.

Makes me want to vomit.

Want to thank your staff.
Send them all a nice email sunday so they have it to open first thing on Monday.

Half wont even see that :face_vomiting::face_vomiting::face_vomiting::face_vomiting: message!

Hmmmm, I think she needs to look up definitions rather than buzz words. Force mulitpliers are more equipment based such as AAR assets rather than people. Key enablers are really the people in the squadrons delivering the ACO to the cadets.

Blunty is as blunty does.

Would there not need to be at least one following her on twitter to see this? If none of them did, then none of them would see it.
Better thing a letter signed and sent to each one of the “230 or so”.

230???

Is that number realistic?

on the assumption that includes Wings and Regions, and for arguments sake say this includes 3x Staff each
34Wings x 3= 102
6Regions x3 = 18

Total 120

thus ~110 at HQAC???

that to me is astonishing!
I always in all my years assumed there were ~dozen admin staff pushing paper around, be that appointment paperwork, mileage and remuneration claims, the odd transfer between units etc.
then there were a few “top dogs” TD1-6 and a few other SMEs but i still don’t reach 30.

it is because of this i assumed is why paperwork takes so long to be processed. be that 6 months for appointments or 3 months for mileage claims.

I work in an office of 30, in a building which employs 200, I cannot believe half of the number of people who work on site makes up HQAC

is anyone able to offer not just the structure of the HQAC team, but the numbers associated with that structure?

I wonder whether the total number includes some of the permanent 2FTS people?

And probably all the attached volunteer staff as well.

but the tweet says “permanent staff” - i would expect them to be paid, salaried staff not including any volunteers

What about CCF TEST?

Yeah fair point. Im struggling to think how she can get that many if she doesnt include attached volunteers. Unless they are hiding a small army of people in the basement at HQAC.

she has got a driver ???

No doubt she will.

Dawn has a driver yes, Graham. Brilliant chap. but he is only 1…not 100

4 perm staff In the NACAT centres (well should be), wonder if she’s including catering staff

I know, They are contractors so no!

Just think…
If there are 100 hanger on mincers and only 960 sqns… call it 1000 for ease.
Then
Every 10 weeks you could have your own perm staff for the week to do all the admin we shouldn’t have to.
Or every 2 weeks for 1 day!
No more bs rfca appointments, no more nonsense admin.
All done.

Nope, these 100 wasters are important!
Far more important!
Needed at HQAC for ‘special projects’ and alike.

Bin the lot. Save the money. Could afford to fix my 8 broken lights on Sqn then!

If she is. Good.
