I’m happy that the RAD I’m attending on Saturdays drill comp is in doors otherwise I will be very wet

Where is RAD this year?

Persec, but it’s at a location in HIOW

Depends on your region

For example, our RAD is in the past!

Fun day that was, standing in a hallway for five hours.

Such is the woe of modeling.

Ah modelling… where of course in 100% of cases it’s always the cadets who do the modelling. Never just the staff and never ever a professional 3rd party model bought in!

Give me strength.
What’s wrong with a timed assault course instead.

I actually do mine at home, because I’m an enormous dweeb.

You mean you order it from home, right?

Remind me to show you all my pile of uncompleted models sometime.

And the pile of things I ran off on the 3D printer and haven’t assembled yet.

No offence, but I won’t be doing that…

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I don’t know where half of it’s gone anyway.

Which is why our comp has been changed to getting the cadets in a room and giving them 6 hours to build a kit from scratch that they’re provided with on the day.

Mate. Everyone knows you never collect the uncompleted models in one place! The other half might see for a start!

Hardly a proper test of modelling skills, is it?

But at least it’s not a test of which squadron has the better adults… It’s not perfect, no.

I take it you do the same with your photographic competition and any postal shoots?

No clue about the postal shoots, 99% of the shooting in the wing is done centrally anyway so I don’t think that’s much of an issue.

And yes, that’s a point of debate. Last WTD they said any that were ā€œobviously not done by cadetsā€ would be dq’d…

They give with one, and take with another
