Here only at election time.
Iām more surprised that the bin people leave a trail of garbage. Do you not have wheeley bins?
Fab especially the interactive map which when I was running a sqn I e mailed the team and called them four times to amend my sqns location which was 100% wrong. Ive now been out over a year and its still not been amended.A fair few times I had cadets turn up to join and I knew they wouldnt stay as they d come along based on that map.
Well I do recognise that RAF.mod.uk/aircadets is well and truly broken and needs to be broken apart, thrown into a bin with petrol and a match chucked in after.
But apart from that. . .
We have a listing on a local free paper club page, which will put in other things when we ask (Iāve given up on the other local papers), we have adverts in parish magazines for the local churches around intake times and posters in libraries. When we are coming up to an intake it goes on town FB pages, things in schools and several local chippies and kebabaries donāt mind putting one in the window, the latter have spawned more interest than anything else. We did have a website but the bloke doing it left and it slipped, but we had problems with cadets getting picked on and being embarrassed to have their name mentioned, so now itās essentially a couple of pages as an advert. I did have a cadet who went into their school and did presentations, but they left the squadron in the summer. I admired their endeavour but our 3 local schools attract kids from all over and these never returned as many as youād expect. Purely because the local schools have around 50% of their cohorts from outside the town, so as we have found we recruit for other squadrons.
Train Delays.
Ticket barriers at rush hour
I donāt mind the barriers. Itās the utter Teflons you get who wait until they are in the gate to start rummaging around for their ticket/card
Also add people who stand in queues for ages at the supermarket, cafe or wherever just staring into space, then only start to look for money or card when itās been rung up on the till.
People who do it at passport control are the ones that gmg the most.
Youāve been stood in a queue for ages and seen countless other people use their passports to go through the gates but you still havenāt got it out of your bag
@Farmerdan Youāve never seen me at a ticket barrier. If you stop you may well not need a ticket.
My patience can be measured in nanoseconds.
We would never have guessed
Only one solution, the tactical chunder
I donāt think weāre allowed bags in our bins. That might just be the recycling oneā¦
Not being able to find my lightweight jacket when I know I left a big pile of change in one of the breast pockets.
When someone takes your only jumper by accident and now you donāt have a jumper to wear.
Leaving one job to upload registers while I take time away from cadets for them not to be done. One job!
My boss changing fundamentals of my job with zero consultation.
Welcome to RAFAC.
Not the RAFAC unfortunatley
