this situation
Bigg, from Ilkeston, Derbyshire, said: “I made it clear that I was planning to go public with my relationship, including the fact my partner works as an OnlyFans creator, and shortly after that I was told I wouldn’t be continuing on Gladiators.”
A Gladiators spokesperson said: “After three formidable series, Giant is leaving Gladiators. We’d like to thank him for everything he has contributed to the show and wish him well for the future.”
In today’s inclusive and diverse society, i don’t get why there is a sigma behind “Onlyfans” which requires people to lose their jobs (eg school teachers) or be looked down on.
Mrs Steve has a colleague who uses it, who only posts shots of her feet and while it impossible to identify who it is why should it matter?
Not being an OnlyFans users, i am ignorant, but my understanding it 99% of content is behind a paywall so little if anything is “public facing” without someone going out of their way (getting their credit card out) to search for the content.
I find it odd that someone who is making an honest living, is shunned, or considered a “lesser person” who, in this case, the BBC do not want to associate with simply because of the career path they have chosen…
am i missing something? Or is this selective inclusion ?

The BBC’s current risk policy is severe. The whole Scott Mills thing was really mad.
i agree - and the fact this isn’t Giant (Jamie Bigg) himself, but his gf and so one level removed even more bizarre but this isn’t just the BBC reacting to OnlyFans this way
Either way, she’ll get a lot more subscribers because of this “controversy”
Onlyfans started as basically an Etsy style alternative you tube so theres a lot of onlyfans pages about things like needle felting, railway modelling & other ultra niche geeky topics.
I imagine one or two air cadet sqns may have even set up a page in the early days.
Unfortunately due to the other stuff it’s now not the most appropriate platform.
Hmm, @Tornado and I might beg to differ
That’s your defence and you’re sticking to it.
I don’t think we are as inclusive as we used to be where sex is concerned.
Cadet who has been on ACPS list for nearly a year just been told program for Oct/Nov 26 and Feb/Mar 27 has been cancelled (outside RAFAC controll)
At least they are now experiencing what life in the RAF is like with multiple holds and course cancellations before they get through training.
Unfortunately they don’t have the luxury when they time out so close to qualifying for the course

Yeah, we closed our page down as Only Drills was a controversial confusion of oopsies

Well, hopefully those in the Ivory Towers will substitute something else, such as Silver Gliding (if not already achieved).
If there is a cost-saving value, give them a bursary to use at a UK ATO - or push it via Air League.

Owing to increased Defence tasking, 6 FTS need to reduce the number of ACPS places for this Financial Year and for FY 27/28. The original offer was 52 places / year; this is now capped at 32 places.
This came through re the above

Pretty sure the *original” offer was a lot more than 50!

Well, that means that that 20 cadets need to be offered alternative options. I’ve checked - sadly, the Air League won’t be able to help.

How many places did we have under the original arrangement at Tayside?
The original contract was 750 places over 5 yrs, but realistically, I think it was about 100 - 120?
However, from an FoI:
The number of Air Cadet Pilot Scholarship placements awarded for calendar year 2022 was 190, of which 120 successfully flew solo.

Information board says boarding but flight radar shows the aircraft still in the air. Why?!

Depending on the system in use….
It might work on scheduled time & hasn’t been corrected.
Or, they have left the timings as expected to ensure all the pax leaves the bars & get to the gate in good time!
This was my guess. The gate was over the big bridge at Gatwick North so thinking they do it to give people a bit off gentle persuasion to get moving!
Used to be the same at Stansted.
I had had one of those Plan E days (& it was only about 1000 hrs) - in my booked transport to finish up at Cambridge. Third planned airport of the day…
So, on the way up the M11, the office ‘phoned - where are you?
About 5 miles from Stansted turn-off.
Do not pass Go, do not collect £200, go to Stansted, flight to Copenhagen in 1:10!!!
Dropped off at Terminal, just made check-in for my suitcase, went sharpish via the train to the gate (jumped the queue for security, handy being in uniform!). As I got off the train, the sign showing the gate was indicating boarding.
Legged it to the (furthest) gate - got there, not many pax, no aircraft on stand. Thirty mins later, it pulled up!!
