Thats probably because they see regulars doing it and copy.
There is currently a SM post from the RAF Police with an individual wearing a poppy with a GPJ. Clearly it is ok, even if it isnt shown in the dress regulations, otherwise why share it on your SMs??
Strictly speaking, dress regs apply at all times and itās everyoneās duty to maintain standards by calling infringements out; however, Iām never going to criticise someone for wearing a poppy and have not commented on poppy pins being worn with No. 1s, poppies on GPJs, etc.
I guess. Thereās just not enough contrast on screen, makes it difficult to actually read and divert your eyes to the right place. Not sure it ticks all the accessibility boxes? Unconvinced by our use of the roundel on its own (for mobile) too.
And theyāve removed the app title from being in the header seemingly. But that might have something to do with most of the Units functionality mystically appearing in Volunteer Portal, so I presume that VP will be the āone stop shopā once SMS finally gets fully decommissioned. That would be a strong win, in fairness.
With a bit of work it could be good, but it needs some more contrast. (As long as they donāt pick the equally silly yellows and greens on the current RAFAC websiteā¦)
Yes, that appears on Learn, but unless Iām being silly I canāt see an equivalent yet for Volunteer Portal?
Even on Learn, some adjustments (e.g. Dark Contrast) appear to hide the course tracker and cover up some of the textā¦
I realise that maintaining and upgrading Bader is primarily being done by our fellow volunteers though, their work is appreciated.
But for me at least itās mostly just background colour contrast thatās needed, I never had/have any issues with the GUI format on Units or SMS. If it aināt broke why fix it?
The manager of the site I work at reviewed my annual leave and keeps informing me I have 9 days left to take before 25th Dec.
I know Iāve only got one .
Do I take him at his word and take the holidays, and then see what MY boss (at a different site) says, or just own up to his mistake.
I use Dark Reader (https://darkreader.org/) and it works great on the whole Bader ecosystem from what Iāve seen. Also works pretty well on things like google docs and most website tbh, though it will mess if there is a background image or something.
