I always wonder why we have wing conferences in uniform - at school on Teacher Training day we wear normal comfy civilian clothing. I think the RAFAC could take the same line - no cadets present + no need to be in uniform = NON UNIFORM

it would especially upset many squadron leaders.
I had a disagreement of opinion with a WWO on a Drill Training Day around this sort of pointlessly being anal. He started treating it like a Parade and requiring all or none for things like jumpers and stable belts. I pointed out that since the actual parade would be in No1 what difference did it make what we wore for the training. (I also pointed out that I have big belt loops so need a stable belt to keep my trousers up and that I don’t have a jumper as I never wear one, thought he was going to melt!)

The problem is most WWO think they are real WOs and forget they are volunteers in a youth organisation that doesn’t supply people with things and most of what they like to get excited about doesn’t matter much outside the bubble.

What grinds my gears? All this socialist crap to tax and drag down everyone rather than punish the ones who can’t or don’t want to live in a decent society.
Nah, the lack of perspective extends to some regular WOs as well…
But at least it is the job they are getting paid to do.
