You know what really grinds my gears? The Gears Strike Back

My personal pet hates are just blanket uploading DINs or other things that aren’t designed for us.

My grind here really is that the bike thing is considered announcement worthy, but ACTO99 being updated is not.

Not just West Mercia. But two wheeled body part donors in West Mercia. Very niche.

Motorbike training so not really RAFAC related at all. Really good, I did mine with merseyside police as they offered the best value due to their subsidy even when not in that force area.

Really should have been an email, I know a few fellow bikers through the organisation but not that common.

Or a Teams announcement.

Or an SMS annoucment.

Or a smoke signal.

The entire Corps needs a policy on how to put out information and stick to it.

My pet hate and what GMG is that to find anything out I have to check about 30 places first. And if I ask a question get the inevitable; “it was published on [enter the one platform I don’t regularly look at]”

Drives me mad.

Like that thing about Afghanistan? :joy:

I figured that could be relevant for some

They’d never see it though :man_shrugging:

To be fair I can kind of understand that one. There are a lot of ex-regulars in this organisation who may not have otherwise seen it. It also made sense to go to everyone as those people aren’t in one specific locality.

Agreed

Why can’t we just stick to email, particularly now we have personal accounts? Sharepoint announcements are possibly the most inconvenient way to communicate.

Email is far too easy and wouldn’t create the confusion that something put on sharepoint that anyone cam randomly pick up.

Businesses have been using email since the mid-90s because it’s simple and it works. Why we can’t in the Ait Cadets beggar’s belief.

Camping down in Cornwall at the moment. We’ve been warned we’re going to be hit with 45/50mph winds from about 7pm for most of the night. Will be a good test of the tent (and/or my pitching skills).

If we were the scouts you might get your camping badge for that!

Just one. ACC.

Still the fastest and best RAFAC news source around

No wings. The tent was nice and secure, if a little bendy (airbeams). We had to go and rescue next door as their tent ripped in multiple places and they spent the night in our living room.

What kind of tent are you taking that has a living room?! :open_mouth:
