How useless Ultilearn is.

I am new and completing my mandatory quals. I have just done RfI, scoring 100% both times but it is saying suspended. Then in SMS it is showing as a fail.

Get into the habit of doing screen shots and saving it as evidence.

Is someone able to overwrite what’s on SMS?

Nothing is ever in SMS, every time you load the eLearning page in SMS it pulls from Ultilearn

I’ve sent them to Wing as evidence, I’d “passed” regardless of what Ultiflop said. Being an email there is a trail in case of Wing trying to pull a fast one.

I took screenshots and uploaded it to the files section on SMS. Done the same thing when I aged out too as it doesn’t transfer over

My Sgt went from CWO to Sgt and everything transferred over no dramas

Same here! Not sure if it’s a CWO thing as I already had a ‘normal’ service number that stayed with me.

Yes, ask your Bader Officer to raise it via Teams or email the Helpdesk directly, need your Cadet CIN and Staff CIN

I do believe that’s going against the authorised process :wink: they certainly havent helped resolve the last couple of issues I posted to the helpdesk. :joy:

Work related GMG.

6 months ago, IT started a modernisation program and updating our version of Citrix. From bitter experience of another LA, I flagged that the new version doesn’t support some of the existing working practices which use Virtual Machines. I requested a massive flag that I would be unable to complete Statutory returns if they went ahead without a work around. I gave IT details of the workaround from a neighbouring LA who’d already experienced the same pain. I also gave IT his contact details to discuss.

Last night IT switched off Citrix. The workaround hasn’t been implemented. Help ticket raised.

Immediate response “why didn’t you escalate this earlier”

“I did. Here’s the email chain. Here’s the workaround documentation. Here’s where I asked this to be flagged. Here is where my manager escalated it. And here’s the feedback from HMG which our neighbouring LA received as a consequence of this process going wrong.”

“We’ll get on to it now”

30mins later

Email from a different engineer. “Morning, just looking at your ticket. Why have you provided us a workaround? If you knew this was going to be an issue you should have flagged it in advance”

GMG - HQAC announcement for something that is specifically only for West Mercia.

They can’t add an announcement that ACTO 99 has changed, but they can let me know about this instead…

Someone with access to the HQAC site should just start deleting guff like that. It’s white noise that the majority don’t need.

Comparing that announcement against the ‘Information Publication’ documentation it doesn’t really meet the requirements. What is BikeSafe? Why do I need to know? Who is this aimed at? I shouldn’t need to open the attachment to understand this basic information.

That works too, not that anyone would see it. Maybe that’s not a bad thing.

But if we start getting stuff like this regularly added to the HQAC announcements then I, and I’m sure others, will unsubscribe from the email notifications and in turn miss something else…
