Getting a test and trace message to isolate the day before my oldest friends wedding :rage:

Tell them to do one :rage::rage::rage:

We had it at work last week too my whole team and
Myself were instructed to isolate.
One of the guys had tested positive BUT I speak to him when I give the daily briefing In the morning outside whilst wearing a FP3 mask for 5 minutes then I check on his work once a day again wearing the mask and PPE and from 2mts away. Only 1 person works with him all day and again wearing PPE and should be over 2mts away.

He was asked who he had contact NOT close contact with and everyone got pinged, we had to contact them argue the point about close contact our mitigation procedures then get a call back from a nurse who we explained it all too again then she went away and discussed with a doctor and they said they would send out texts cancelling the isolation eventually it was only the guy who worked with him who isolated.

The system is a farce.

Yep whole house did PCR as advised and tested negative but stuck in until next Friday as the message is from test and trace and not an app ping.

If it was just an app ping, with negative tests, I’d be there.

The app itself isn’t telling me to isolate 🤷

Its due to sister in law who I had been more than 2 metres apart from during a 5 minute visit to her parents house.:rage:

Have you called track and trace
And told them this??

Maybe worth a try

As I say it was test and fail or whatever the Scottish equivalent is and we had a number to call to appeal.

Certainly a similar situation at my work as well. A large number were contacted to isolate after being a contact of a positive case but explained the circumstances of the ‘contact’ and mitigations we have in place. All but 2 were then told to.ignore previous communication and they were good to carry on as normal.

Took me a second to work out that this in fact did not mean your Mrs had a boy-friend :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming: :joy:

There is when a woman with a sign runs out on to the race!

Skateboarding now. It’s better. Although I was expecting more blood and bone!

Definitley didn’t buy tony hawk Pro skater at 31 and now having a skateboard mid life crisis :neutral_face:

I remember it from 1999. And missing a number of deadlines between 1999 and 2004 as a result. Then I got married and things got sensible.

I watched the Skateboarding finals earlier whilst nursing a hangover. It was relatively enjoyable however it did just sound like the commentators were using a random word generator to make up names for half the tricks!

But it was very neat to see a new sport in the Olympics! Here’s looking forward to climbing though

Slander…

The athlete who won the women’s road race has a PhD in Maths and gave up being a pro cyclist because she hated riding in groups and no one would give her a contract. She attacked from kilometre 0, was in the break all day and did the last 40 odd km on her own beating a Dutch rider who is generally considered the best female rider of all time.

(Plus the Dutch woman thought she’d won when she crossed the line and had to be told she’d got silver not gold).

Tried, have logged a complaint and waiting for a call back.

Daughter, who had the one positive test, and has been doing daily LFT and the negative PCR 3 days later has been told to stop testing and guidance is apparently not to do any form of test for 90 days unless symptomatic as it’s more likely to return a false positive for those 3 months 🤦

So based on the numbers of positive tests that’s a good couple of million people taken out of the testing regime as well.
