You know what really grinds my gears? The Gears Strike Back

Unless it’s changed, bubbles are only a ‘per session’ thing according to the NYA. The same way you can do wing shooting in a 15 cadet bubble but they’re all different squadrons.

It’s 15 from the same small pool.

So, for example, A flight has 21 cadets, they’re eligible to parade this Wednesday, so we take the 15 who sign up. They don’t mix with B flight, who have a different week to parade.

I’ve lost track of everybody’s individual circumstances, so I’m probably just confused or have missed something, but as of yesterday there’s no NYA imposed limit on bubble size for indoor or outdoor, so where does the 15 limit come from?

There’s no limit, but they still recommend maintaining bubbles of 15. As such our organisation guidance still follows that 15 recommendation.

ah, ok - I was only reading the (what is essentially the) Executive Summary, and that recommendation isn’t there!

–edit–

ah, it’s buried in the 4th paragraph of section 11!

Except at school / in the park etc.

When you get a gliding slot (I’ve got one) / go to the range.

Yeah, I know… But we can only control what we can control.

We’ve been told we have to do an SMS event for every F2F Parade Night for every bubble. The Cadets are in set bubbles, those bubbles won’t change or even mix on a parade night (at least for the next twelve weeks), they see each other across the carpark / drill square but that’s as close as they get to each other.
So for each F2F Parade Night I have 3 SMS activities, one for each 3 bubbles.
It was an admin nightmare to set up; throw into the mix those activities I can self-authorise and those that have to go to Wing, e.g. Heartstart/BLS or whatever it’s now called & Weapons Training & WHTs.

Then chuck in these new 3822 forms & the risk assessment forms - NEP for six months is sounding quite appealing!

That sounds awful and precisely what I want to avoid.

Pork scratching broke my tooth, apparently I’m no longer registered with my dentist and they aren’t taking on NHS Patients.

Found a local dentist taking patients on, standard exam is booking for November, sent me sign up forms… PDF as a scan of the form so I’d need to print them and then drop off :frowning:

GMG. Plumbing. Why you so hard.

Hmm, most major hospitals will do emergency dental work (some cities even have a dental hospital with a dedicated A&E), but it looks like yours doesn’t  there is a regional dental NHS helpline though, who’ll detemine if you class as an emergency case

Also you can call 111 and they’ll help find you an emergency dentist :slightly_smiling_face: Have actually had to do that for a cadet on camp once!

111 called and awaiting a call back.

Luckily there is no pain, but it is sharp and would like to avoid ripping my tongue apart!

That isn’t true, challenge whoever is telling you to do it

I have been trying to get into the dentist for about a year now. Easily rang 50+ places and was told to FO.

Finally thought sod it I’ll pay for private, first place I rang… were taking on NHS and can see you in two weeks :man_facepalming:

Along time ago, in an ACC far away, we had a member called 10tacphantom who was a dental practice manager. He definitely arranged emergency dental treatment for a number of ACCers.

He’s doesn’t even live in the UK anymore. Shame. I could’ve got a referral bonus!
