You know what really grinds my gears? The Gears Strike Back

Being on hold to the CPS. Coming up on 20 minutes now…

Sounds like trying to get hold of reception at my GP. My record is 47 minutes

Email the practice manager.

Incidentally, do they have any type of option once you get through, such as Select 1 for repeat prescriptions, 2 for blood test results, etc?

[language warning in last 5 seconds of this clip, in case anyone has young children around…]

In the end, I managed to track down the holy grail of CPS docs, the directory of direct dials!

Yeah, you want to try calling Universal Credit! Hours of Fur Elise or other crackly “classic” music.

I don’t mind hold music it it’s good. I recall one bank having the Can Can theme.

The problem is where every ten seconds or so you get a voice reminding you you’re on hold. Really ruins the music.

Tesco Bank - we had a fraudulent transaction the day before going on holiday to Dubai. All sorted, card frozen (got alternatives for holiday).

Left ‘phone in apartment room safe - checked it at lunchtime - message from Tesco Bank Fraud Dept…

”V v v urgent, please call us soonest.”

Oh bother. No option for free calls on my then mobile ‘phone plan, Skype it will be. Topped up credit twice, as I held for 4 hrs 20 mins!! :skull_and_crossbones::skull_and_crossbones:

Tesco Bank had mucked things up, BIG time. No need for any interaction whatsoever. I gave them 4 hrs to email me the name of senior manager who would be handling my complaint, & suggested a level of compensation for wasting my money / time.

They balked. I thought £250 was quite reasonable; I advised them that if they wanted to take it further, my rate would go up considerably.

They paid up!! :smiling_imp:

Logging into Facebook and seeing yet another SOV being vandalised (two in this case)

This is always sad to see! Although are people not insuring their busses properly? Suggesting that they won’t have any transport until they can fundraise some more. Surely insurance covers this?

(Also I want to add, this is 100% a question, not a dig at anyone at all!)

One minibus that I could see was 2006 reg, so the insurance company would have paid the value of a 2006 bus. Assuming they need something a lot newer than 2006, then there will be a funding gap.

A decent minibus that’s a couple of years old is about £20k.

GMG. Pot Pasta still haven’t fixed their water to pasta ratio problem.

They’ve updated the packaging to reflect Pot Pasta “creamy carbonara” now contains Fusilli pasta rather than Capellini. However, their packaging previously had a “fill to line” to get the ideal sauce to pasta ratio for Capellini. With the change in pasta type, so the ratios have changed - but the line remains the same. Now I have too much sauce and/or not enough pasta.

And there’s not enough bacon.

SMS being so slow that I can’t access the classification pages to update records. Especially as I set some time aside for it today during a rare quiet patch at work.

GMG - Sony customer service, expecting people to pay to send the PS5 controllers back have the stick drift fixed because of their poor quality control.

I’d be happy just to have one.
