Yeh but what you’re talking about are principles and the idea that you value moral and intellectual consistency.
Not everyone is burdened with such things, much to my ongoing frustration.

Lots of “unidentified” drones have been circling the Presidential Palace in Caracas overnight, so looks like US military involvement in Venezuela is far from over despite Marco Rubio claiming the US actually doesn’t want regime change there.
Trump has said on TV that he is in charge of Venezuela.
He wishes he could still speak that coherently…

There an RAF P-8 and an A400 up there - some USN and USAF stuff as well, seen pickies of an USAF MH-6 helicopter next to the vessel, which given that it’s out passed the Faeroes, can only have got there by ship…

I think so yeah, they had frigates and a sub on the way/in the area.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Russians have their sub sink the tanker if its a threat.
With so much heat & confusion they could play the deniability card & blame US Particularly if there is things or people on that tanker that would implicate Russia.
