Weather Watchers

We’ve had heavy rain all morning. Drove to work at 0700 and our was 11C! Dropped like a brick though, now it’s about 4C, but still raining :joy:

Damn south coast never gets any decent snow!

No snow to report here…

Just how bad is the weather over there that it’s making headline reports over here…?

It’s been pretty bad in some areas.

Areas of Wales and the midlands have seen some of the worst flooding in a long time! We’ve had some pretty substantial rain in the South East too, but nothing like they’ve had.

Yeah pretty bad this week

I’m on a whitewater course at Windermere.

It’s been lovely!

Stay safe out there over the weekend. Looks like this storm is going to hit very hard, especially for those of you along the western coasts. Could easily be seeing some triple digit mph gusts in places, which for the UK is pretty mad.

The aviation forecast for Newquay has much lower winds than that from the BBC - at least 20 mph less.

Can’t wait to see all the impressions of Michael Jackson’s Earth Song.

Lands End already seeing gusts over 70mph with sustained 40-50mph, and this is just the start!

We dont have it particularly bad but I took the dog out for a walk and it is grim!

Miserable up here in north yorks too

Hey so I’m off to work in a minute. Wish me, my 18 vans, and 4 planned HGV deliveries luck!

We’ve altered inbound capacity from 3 double decker trailers to 4 singles, so will be interesting.

There’s a lot of countryside and a lot of coastline in our patch. This will be fun.

The Weather or a general statement?

One of my Canoes blew off the rack.

Thankfully it’s the white water boat, so it can take it.

Live scenes from my back garden

Just went for a walk in the woods to see if any trees had fallen down which are relative accessible.

One down. Took some photos. Took some measurements to see which saw is needed. Tested underfoot for travelability. Worked out access route. Turned around to watch a bow snap off and fall right across the access route about 10m in front of me…

Decided to retreat in a Scooby Doo style, tiptoeing so I didn’t upset the Weather Gods!!!

Well, we didn’t see that coming. In the middle of high winds and torrential rain we’ve not lost power, telephone or 4G. We’ve lost mains water!!!

Just wear a hard hat. Everyone knows they make you invincible to falling objects.
