Back home safe and sound. No heat related injuries reported from the group and no disheartening RAFAC style cancellation.
Common sense from the staff and assessor. On the last 2 days the students only had to carry their food and drink for the day, the rest of the kit was moved to the next campsite by the minibus.
Storm arrived at 0600. It was 3 claps of thunder and a small shower.
Conditions are now even more muggy than before the storm, but luckily I’m in air conditioned facilities all day anyhow.
One of my clients has zero temperature control at all and my colleague is with them all this week. I’ll be shocked if he hasn’t sweated half his bodyweight off by the time I see him on Monday.
Would have been nice if the Staff knew they ‘could’ do this but did not tell the candidates at the time……..see if they made a sensible request first to ask if the packs could be lightened due to the extreme conditions…and not just attempt to blindly go on lugging all their kit

One of our 2 fans broke at about 7am. Emergency order of a new one was tricky, given how little stock there is. Now my partner and I will have to fight to see who gets to use the remaining one today.
Yesterday wasn’t too bad, 28 degrees but it didn’t feel that hot, thought I must be getting used to this heat, this morning was lovely and cool first thing, then it rained and now the sun is out and I’m sat here sweating, it’s horrible. Forecast is for 38 today.
