Did similar in Lidl at lunchtime. A group of us stood by the freezer looking for an exceptionally long time at an empty freezer that used to house ice cubes.
It was when the Lidl staff joined us that we realised we may have overstayed our welcome.

It will only take one incident and the head will be castigated. There was serious slopy shoulders from our LEA. For once the RAFAC was ahead of the curve with training and guidance..

They do it for the same reason as when there’s a 0.000004% of it snowing.
If they stay open there’ll always be a group of parents who won’t sent their kids in because it’s ‘dangerous’.
The result is the schools attendance rates take a hit, and that doesn’t look good on an Ofsted report.
Close the whole school for ‘safety reasons’ and you don’t have this problem!

The problem with a lot of things is that we have become a litigious society. If anything goes wrong, we always go chasing for someone to blame and money, and don’t accept that sometimes accidents happen. If this societal mindset shifts, we’d get a hell of a lot more done.
Still showing as 30C in the house.
Had a cool shower, felt amazing… 20 minutes later… feel all clammy and hot again…
Hot tub hasn’t been heated for 4 days, and is still showing at 33 degrees…
Plus… We generated 40KW of energy on our solar panels, 70% of which was exported to the grid.

With that much good solar going on, it would be worth looking into a decent split system for heating and AC. Turn that hot sun light into free cold air!

There’s a massive storm kicked off near me. Not sure which way it’s headed though. Kind of annoying as I want to go to bed but I’m not sure I can risk leaving everything open in case it hits!
Just opened a bunch of windows as the wind it’s creating is lovely. But it’s actually increased the temp inside slightly already 
Although the Met Office is still showing 30 where we are there is actually quite a breeze and it feels pleasant enough. Probably would have been fine to parade, even though it was pretty fierce around 1700.

If control measures are not adequate to bring tye risk ALARP OR cannot be put in place at all duebto extremes then the risk is still present without sufficient controls abd so the pnky wzy to reduce the rusk is remove it…often by hitting the Canx button

30C in the workshop first thing in the morning. Think it was 34C in here when I left yesterday, dropped a bit, but not enough!
