I wish! The workshop is one of the oldest buildings here 
They’re currently re-building it in stages, so in about 18 months time we’ll have a brand-spanking new workshop with aircon.
The temp changes are honestly screwing with my machining.
There is a couple of smaller insulated rooms within the workshop for metrology and some sub-micron machines. They have aircon! Sometimes it’s tempting to just go and measure a part for an hour to sit in the nice 19C room.

no word of a lie - i will find reasons to leave my desk (in an non a/c room) to walk downstairs to the metrology lab as it is an a/c room

When I worked for a small craft brewery, I’d always need to go and do a stock check in the cold store on a hot day

I think a few of us are going to go and have a bivvy up a mountain somewhere tomorrow night to try and get a cool nights sleep. Add 1000m and it cools off nicely

We’re no-where near the temps you’re going to hit. it’s 27 here currently, I’d love to be able to bivvy up a mountain somewhere to cool off but Lincolnshire is definitely lacking on that front!
Back to the garden to stand in the dogs paddling pool it is then.

Left Wales earlier in 15c with showers. Arrived in the Midlands to 27c a few hours later.

Why haven’t more people invested in portable air conditioning? £200 and my bedroom is a nice 19°
I bought one about 4 years ago, heatwave kicked in and I was on nights stopped at B&Q on the way home, best £200 I’ve ever spent, but with a town house even with 2 of them it struggles to stay on top during the day.
When we buy our forever home I will defo be looking at installing AirCon.
My quick research suggests this isn’t going to work for me as you need to hang the hose out of the window.
This means having the window open, which isn’t allowed ti stop the cats escaping.
I do have a window net cover so it can be open - but this wouldn’t let the hose through.
I’ve now ordered a Dyson AM09 to cool me down for the next 6 weeks and then heat me up in the winter.
