Back in from a dog walk, waterproof trousers are currently not waterproof 
Our dog + our son’s dog (here for a couple of days) normally spend ages out in the garden, having a prolonged sniff around before have a wee or whatever.
Not today (even with waterproof coats on) - in & out in about 15 secs!! 
I’m staying in the dry - likely to get damp as RCO on the range tomorrow!
Got some Peter Storm ones from Go Outdoors a couple of weeks ago - they kept me completely dry on the ride in around 0800-0830 this morning. Would recommend.

It finally feels like November!
It does feel a bit mad, going from an overnight low of 15C to -2C in less than a week

Annoyingly, even though it is insulated in the garage, the cold weather is hitting the efficiency on my solar panel battery! Only just made 60% this morning. 
I made the mistake of commenting how few frosts we had in the back end of ‘25
Have now planted some bulbs over the break in some new pots, done nothing but freeze since!
Yep, it’s snowed.
Of course it’s the first day back at work for most people today, and I think some of the schools are back in, so naturally traffic is at a standstill.
Many Schools closed in South Wales. Car said it was -5 degrees this morning. Not been this cold for a few years.
Our school is closed… because the heating is broken.
The village school is on an inset day so all out playing in the snow. (yes, we live 500 metres from a school…and choose to drive 10 minutes to a better one….)
Have got two kids, with set homework, so now back inside and trying to do that while they are desperate to get blackout in the snow before it disappears.
All… while trying to work ourselves.
My local secondary is also close because of this. We’ve not had any more snow down here, but still bloody cold.
Covid has ruined snow days It used to be a day or a week to just go and piss about in the snow. Now schools have realised they can actually do stuff remotely. I’ve got a good friend who’s a teacher, and she said it’s just as annoying for them as it is the students!

Some are back but not all and some are closed because of the snow 
I think the traffic is made worse because people can’t drive in 2cm of the white stuff! Mr Emz took 45 mins to get to work this morning due to people driving like snails.
It was all fun and games in the snow this morning until I had to de-ice eight paws

People can’t drive in the peak of summer on a clear blue sky day! Snow just makes it 10x worse. Throw in that most people’s summer tires are barely legal as is, and you’ve got a disastrous time in the roads.
I always bang on about getting good all seasons to everyone I know.
I always like it when it’s -4° as if you turn your head slightly, it’s a little man doing a poo

A rather interesting drive to the airport. Very heavy rain all night at home, but still have myself an extra hour knowing his cold it is.
In places there was some decent snow, ice and slush. Just bloody glad it wasn’t 1 or 2 degrees cooler or I think I would have been pretty screwed, even with appropriate tyres!
