Be very careful buying China associated vehicles. UKStratCom has already banned them from their sites (including many ‘MOD …’ sites and some RAF stations, such as Wyton) due to the obvious risks associated with anything Chinese that has a camera and/or microphone and access to the internet (including any smartphone with TikTok on it, but that’s another topic). I suspect the single Services will follow.

Yeah, it’s a fair point. But the MOD has also widely banned things like DJI, which I think is over kill.
If we’re really worried about the potential threat from China, then we need to all look at where our phones, TVs etc come from. Many big brands are all manufactured in China and are just at risk of espionage type stuff.

MT has a lot of MGs. This isn’t the first example of one hand not talking to the other in MOD circles.
RAF: If you have a single drone motor made in China it needs to be stored in a faraday cage.
Also RAF: Here’s a whole car full of cameras, microphones and multiple sim cards. Feel free to drive it around this RAF base.

Its a PED red zone.
But it is one giant PED. Almost all cars have built in comms system via the SIM network now! How can a PED be a red zone it’s self? 
Svalbard - that well known industrial haven that exports billions of $$$ of goods!
The industrial zones are very well camouflaged - I didn’t see any when I last visited!

The thing that caused it would have prevented it? He misses so much and gets things so twisted that I think Trump gets bored halfway through the aide reading the AI summary of a synopsis of a blurb.
i am not sure what frustrates me more
1 - that he isn’t called out for such comments being 
2 - when he is, he fails to address the question
criticizing the deal made with Canada “who would sign such an awful deal?” ignoring completely it was him who signed it.
no point calling him out on it as he’ll deflect. and so he’s allowed to continue spouting this rubbish

But they’re idiots in charge of the United States, so you can’t ignore them, which is why the government’s approach is probably the right one. Butter them up, flatter them and wait them out.

They appear to be yet to work out that if:
- Everyone is charged half of the total cost of business and
- The minimum charge is 10%
then almost all of the countries currently being tariffed at 10% can raise their tariffs on the US to 20% overnight and the US can’t really respond…
Stop applying logic, they’ll just up them more in response.
