Interestingly, I’ve just seen advertised to me some contract manufacturing roles in Australia. They specifically mention manufacturing for the like of BAE F-35 components etc. They’re willing to sponsor visas and expect people out there within weeks, not months.
I wonder if there is a sudden panic going on WRT American designed and licensed defence stuff, so they’re trying to quickly ramp up production outside the US.
I would think that’s quite likely the case. We can no longer view the American government as a steadfast ally, and have to respond to that new reality.
Does make me wonder whether France is about to get a new order for submarines from Australia though… (AUKUS)
