Oh I don’t disagree at all, neither of them had any place whatsoever holding that office, both parties seem to be utterly scraping the very bottom barrel for recent elections as far as I’m concerned - I only focus on Trump because he’s the currently most relevant travesty of an executive branch

The VP, if he had to step up, would likely want to stand again. This alone might moderate some of the approaches and policies.

“We’ve never needed them,” he said, adding: “We have never really asked anything of them.”
“They’ll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan,” he said, “and they did, they stayed a little back, a little off the front lines”.

No; which is why you don’t want him as President. As VP in 2 years time I don’t think he will get the nomination, as President I think he probably would.
Surely them turning on each other is the best thing that could happen as soon as it can happen?

They won’t turn on each other before the Primaries no matter what happens, until they point they all need each other, from that points it’s everyone for themselves
