Staff Cadets - What do you use them for?

I am really curious about what you use Staff Cadets for.

What I mean by this is, with them being able to fill in as someone who can assist in squadron tasks (for example Training Officer), what do you guys use Staff Cadets for?

Staff Cadet Service

Hi all, I’m looking for the announcement, possibly about two years ago regarding staff cadet service in the Corps. Can’t seem to find it anywhere in Sharepoint, can anyone help? On a related vein - looking for any references to whether staff cadets are able to hold a Bader account (Generic/role specific). Do you allow yours access? Any restrictions? Many thanks, OUAT

The Staff Cadet debate.... Again

GMG: The recent letter from Chief of Defence People, endorsed by AOC 22 Gp and CAC. It recognises CFAVs work during Covid but not staff cadets, despite doing the exact same role.

Should staff cadets be classed as CFAVs?

Staff cadets go through DBS, BPSS, AVIP and all the other mandatory training that CIs do and can run activities (not parade nights or overnight) without other adult staff members being present. Despite all this, they are often still treated the same as 12 year old cadets and often forgot about when documentation is written. Should we classify staff cadets as CFAVs in an attempt to remove this issue? To clarify, I mean should they be classed as CFAVs in its current form. Not intending to start y…
