Yes, at the usual rate.

@AlexCorbin in particular and the D n D crowd.

Changes to rank slides for flight staff cadets and all cadets to have cadet on a rank slide. Where and when was this announced? I can see that ACP 1358 has been updated for the flight staff cadets and 18 years and over to have yellow highlighted Staff Cadets but the requirement for all cadet to have the word cadet on a rank slide is not there. I thought the announcement of this change was made at the same time or am I miss remembering?

There was definitely a briefing note of sorts, because it triggered me. But I can’t seem to find it.

I’ll ask the Q

Don’t, they might have forgotten :eyes:

I can’t fond it either. Nothing in Logs hub or IBN. The only other place is the weekly update but that will have to wait for later.

According to other posts on here it was in the July logs update.

I was initially confused about Alex being linked to DnD.

RAFAC HQ Logistics Update: 03-25 Rank Slides & Badges (RS&B) Supply Solutions

@mprentice1 That is great and gives all the info I wanted.

But.

It is not what I remember seeing. I remember seeing photos of the new rank slides. It was just an announcement of changes to the rank slides.

Well done finding that. I couldn’t earlier, despite knowing it was the July update — which you’d think would make it easy.

Interesting that it mentions JL patches and maroon lanyards.

Yeah I’ve realised I slightly jumped the gun, it’s actually the May (or July) 25 update.
RAFAC Logistics Update. Uniform Update Jul 25

I was about to say the same things. Considering there is no firm news on JLs and only FB updates on QAIC which indicate there will be a QAIC in the Autumn.

#controversial on Shouldn’t QAIC and JL just use the Gold leadership badges as they are gold level leadership courses #controversial off

I assume you mean ACLC, not QAIC? We haven’t had an update on ACLC (same as JL).

Sorry, late to the party without my response, but might help others.

We run an intake day. After the initial discussions on what the RAFAC has to offer, we take the recruits out for some basic drill instruction and give the OC and Adj some time with the parents.

We have some honest discussions and expectations of what it’s like for their son/daughter/ward.. to be in the corps (transport requirements, costs, sign ups, etc). We run through cadet portal with them, so they understand what their cadets are accessing and signing up for. It gives them an understanding of what happens when they sign up, and then drop out last minute and the fallout that can have from a planning and cost perspective.

The cadets also get that as a session, once they have their own log in set up.

We go through how to use it, setting up their ID in MyRAFAC, etc. Usually led by one of the SNCOs.

I was prepared for a question on using the game system within cadets as an intro to wargaming or something. I was not prepared to see questions on rank slides
