Quick Questions…

Nope. Sorry. 72 pattern. I have one.

We used 44 pattern as cadets.

I’m not familiar with the ‘44 pattern belt, but the water bottle pouches were much more popular than the ‘58 pattern ones and I think some still had them on PLCE webbing when it was still OG.

The water bottle carrier was originally a US design, but I recall we had a more standard bottle pouch when we replaced ‘37 with 44.

(A few NCOs bought their own 44 as it was available in the local surplus place, would have been a good investment if they’d kept it!)

I’ll leave this here before I get admins on my case…

For mayors cadet, station commanders cadet etc?

Do we need to confirm that that the station commander or whoever holds a EDBS?

Usually this cadet would be over 18 so an adult themselves.
Otherwise I’d see what your WEXO says!

Very rare for over 18s on this even with Lord Lts cadets but with the whole change in over 18s this is going to rear its head in the next six months.

Our town council discussed making it a stipulation that the mayor’s cadet should be over 18, to eradicate safeguarding obstacles, but we were good enough to point out that this would exclude the other cadet forces.

anyone know what size of white Courlene belt we should be using, i’ve got 4 belts at Sqn in 2 different widths

The book doesn’t specify

Wear them all, then you can’t be wrong :smirk:

They’re usually 2-2.5 inches right? Not helpful if they’re all within that though…

I feel like my WWO might disagree
:joy:

Or wear them all and waut until you’re told which is wrong.

Bonus pounts for uploading the photos to SM to really get the opinions flooding in

How do I find the hot and cold injury training for cadets?

https://rafac.sharepoint.com/sites/SafetyCentre

ETA this is the bit you want

  • Cadet Presentation – A cadet heat illness prevention PP training package is available on BADER Learn, replacing the Climatic Injuries DVD.

Similar for Cold on the main link above

Brilliant - thanks so much! Had been clicking around for ages on the training hub and wasn’t getting anywhere.

It might be one to flag with the HQ team - to put links from the Training Hub to content that’s in the Safety & Security Hubs.

Or just put it in the training hub since it’s, y’know, training?

Recently transferred and getting an error message for new Sqns sharepoint saying I dont have permissions to access.

Can my CO fix this or is it a Wing Bader help desk ticket?

I think my 100 might be floating in the ether as I was Adj on previous unit so am worried I’m now unassigned to a Sqn

Ask your new unit OC to check your status in Units. If you are in Personnel Holding they need to assign you a role (that can be an exec role or Sqn NCO/Officer/CI).

Once that’s done the Bader POC might need to relink the database in AMS, and your new OC will need to assign you permissions, again in Units.

Assuming this is a “Private Group” Sharepoint Site (as noted in top left corner of the site)

Then someone (probably your OC) should be an Owner of the site. They need to login and click the members link to view members of the site, then “Add Members” and search for you.

Theres probably some spring cleaning to be done as well of checking who is listed as “Owner” and who’s listed as “Member”.

Thank you both for such quick replies. I will ask them to investigate and add me
