The BBC’s coverage wasn’t even well done either. Between features they just handed off to the anchor who had to awkwardly fill the time until the next one.
Did any of you listen to the radio? Just wall to wall mellow music, no links from the hosts, just breaks for news and travel.
You’ve clearly never seen the footage of the Queen Mothers death announcement.

Dropped right in it.
Yes.

In 2002, Sissons announced the death of the Queen Mother on the BBC. This broadcast created controversy and criticism from some newspapers as he wore a burgundy tie and not a black one, deemed more appropriate for such news.[10] He later defended his choice and a senior BBC source said: “We thought if the newsreader suddenly rushed off screen to change into a black tie for the announcement it would be a distraction for viewers.”[11]
Bloody hell
Only when there’s football on…

This was the prequel to the big event when Her Majesty goes. Wait to the complaints then, because it will not only cover her life but go on about the new King
With any luck, the complaints will influence and shape policy for future events.
I sort of think that the tone is a bit jarring in the middle of a global pandemic.
oh?
who will that be i wonder…
King Ralph
And then we have his tour of the country that he plans to have after the Coronation to look forward to.
He will be the new Sovereign at that point.
He is entitled to do as he pleases.
Cant see it being a bad thing.
If people want to have a republic with a president Blair they are more foolish than I give them credit.
This isn’t the time or place for this please.
Apparently Philip ordered a custom Land Rover as his hearse:
What a lad
It was supposed to take him from Westminster Abbey to Windsor.
