My bigger question is… will Sqns have to wait to be legionella tested again beofre reopening.
If so, they should be booking appointments now.
Took forever last time.
That will be the difference between cadets entering in Janaury of February.

As long as we can keep going in once a week to run the water, no. Surely that will still be allowed
Yeah right.
Were we allowed last time when the Govt ordered everyone ‘no non essential travel’…
Nope.
What’s the situation in wales? Allowed in to do that?
No direction not to so yes, just cracking on and keeping the building “used weekly”
Ok. Thanks.
Hopefully they keep it that way for all.
We can get through a month.
But if the month causes 3 months of delay, frankly it will boil my liquid urea…
That was the question on my mind too. That and whether ‘sustainment’ visits to HQs will be permitted so we can do the weekly checks
Still in conversation with govt to understand exactly what the PMs statement means for the sector and will provide an update soon

Until then, please sign up to our webinar (4/11, 3pm) @LeighNYA & @abbee_NYA will talk through any changes including a Q&Ahttps://t.co/nt5RDSXD1L
No update from NYA yet.
Don’t expect any of this stuff to get cleared up before Thursday - there will be lots of lobbying and horse trading right up to, and indeed after the vote on Wednesday. Only then will, and can, the guidance be written…
From a wing email;
The Cmd Brd will consider & advice will be issued by no later than COP Wed this week. Until advised otherwise, please continue as per.
Interesting given the legislation on what will actually happen won’t be locked in until COP Wednesday… Still all being debated in parliament.
Well, air rifle WHT (finally) renewed tonight - now to hurry up & wait for the lockdown decision.
Remembrance Sunday events can go ahead provided they are held outside and observe social distancing.
This is still however dependent on what gets agreed in the next two days.
Robert jenerick has just said a complete no to youth sports taking place. Outside of a school environment. Due to the risk of mixing.
It’s not looking hopeful for us then.
I’m not sure it ever was, although we had a successful first night back at the unit last night. One more night then back to lockdown!
I have seen on social media that parent and toddler groups for example will be allowed to continue subject to the maximum 15 people, so given that even small sided games when you add officials and parents would be double that I can see the rationale there.
I think we just need to wait and see what agreement on guidance NYA reach with governement.
Agreed.
We’ve been told we can start preparing the building for a return to face to face when the restrictions are lifted here next week. My OC wants cadets in before the end of November which I think is overly ambitious.
Key word. Wants.
Is the whole staff team behind this?
That’s only 3 weeks.
That means completing the checklist in a week or less getting permission to reopen via CoC and then having 2 weeks mandatory notice period to the parents.
A lot of IFs to make that happen.
Good luck
I’ve made it clear that I think that’s an unrealistic timeline but on his head be it.
News to me.
Our parent toddler groups have been Canx, and moving to virtual meet ups.
My eldest’s swimming lessons have also been canx (she’s only managed to get two lessons in, since the first lockdown in March).
