Having heard the announcement we will still be expecting staff in the office… we’ve made the office covid secure and the result from WFH is poor.
It said that work places can stay open, so why would anything change from how things are now at HQAC? They can all still go in…
Because from Thursday the wording is slightly different in that if you can work from home then that’s what you should do. Right now it’s a free for all?
Purely a guess; As with everyone else in the UK, I have no clue right now what’s what and what will happen.
And as usual we will find out around 5pm Friday
So what about the people I know who work for the council who were furloughed and now maybe again? None of them were put elsewhere.
These do far more useful things than the bunch we’ve got.
Not all HQ staff can work from home as they can’t access MODnet / Universe which greatly impacts on their ability to achieve
That would be because they’re council employees not civil servants i.e. paid from locally managed council budget not solely from Treasurer funded central government budget
A large number have been given MOD laptops to allows this.
But not WHQs
WExOs should have already had MOD laptops I thought? Guess that doesn’t help the Es though.
Have you actually looked at the graphs? The “experts” seem to be working from different datasets and using their own calculations, it is almost like a competition to give the blackest outcome. If they were really experts and worth their salt their calculations would produce the same outcomes as the data has to be the same. The confidence intervals are far too big, which flags problems in the starting data and or calculations. I stand by my assertions this situation has played into the hands of people (the “experts”) who can lurk in the shadows with no accountability or responsibility, providing what is at best just dice rolling guesswork to drive massive policy decisions, for which if it doesn’t work they can just scuttle back under their rocks.
If we were presenting information like this at work, those tasked with making the business decisions based on it, would be quite rightly saying go away and come back when you have something more credible.
Your ignorance continues to know no bounds.
Of course different teams working with different assumptions on FUTURE outcomes are not going to reach the exact same results. if you had listened to why the death rate prediction graphs were different it’s because they had each taken different approaches to the restrictions which could hypothetically be imposed.
Do you moan this much when the weather forecast is wrong?
Come back when you have the vaguest idea how epidemiological modelling and statistical analysis work.
Actually please don’t come back. You are a blithering idiot who makes Donald Trump look like a vaguely intelligent person.
Can we please not expel people on these grounds, or I fear I’ll be next!!!
Topic.
Are Sqn now closed like Wales or has “youth clubs” etc been allowed to open?
I think I saw guidance that said closed?
Nothing heard here.
