Blog post from a party involved in the lobbying for guidance to be issued here
I’ve always said I have to practically spoon feed some cadets and parents.
Does that make us a support group?
NYA going to Red, groups like ours to close (from the NYA webinar going on now).
I expect this will need to be confirmed via the CoC.
It’s on twitter from them also
Yay.
Saw this too.
Cadets is canx for 2020.
Oh… unless you count VPN as meaningful anymore
However we could potentially open to run planned sessions for vulnerable young people.
We aren’t in the business of providing activity specifically for vulnerable young people, so I’d imagine that would be seen as a bending/breaking of the rules.
We could. But I don’t think that’s in the spirit of the Red guidance. I don’t think there will be many squadrons working with the sort of “high needs” young people they are referring to.
Only.if hqac allow it
I expect HQAC will issue a full stop for England. Maybe whole Corps for ease
True, it is bit of a bending of the guidance, and of course all depends on HQAC’s decision.
I’m glued to Facebook, because no doubt they’ll announce it there first.
I have to say the NYA guidance webinar is very good, and we should take note as to how changes to our guidance should be delivered.
I am at this point just hoping that we are allowed to continue going in as staff to keep running the taps and other statutory checks
I have to agree. Out of all the webinars I have been on for work this is actually the best put together one I’ve watched.
I also hope, if HQAC do decide no F2F activities that we at least get an all bader email before it goes out on social media, even if it’s only an hour before.
Absolutely not! In wales we have been in lock down for the last 10 days while HQAC and sqn across England continued, why should everyone else stop because England is in lockdown? Work from hone is the message.
Lol.
You forget. Hqac is in england. For activities to go ahead the duty officer desk needs manning.
And if you can’t work from home you can go in, so duty officer can still go to work. The measures should be England only.
Are they there at weekends then?
Genuine question!
