Preparing to Return to F2F Activity... Again/Still

I asked a series of similar questions. Apparently the document is ‘guidance’ not policy and is meant to indicate a preference for single occupancy craft.

So that would also indicate that we can use more remote terrain providing we can justify it?

Email received about 40 minutes after the Facebook post.

I inadvertently got out slightly ahead with a recent parent and Cadet email.

Seems to suggest so but I’d imagine you’d have a hard time justifying why you can’t achieve the objectives in less remote terrain given the generic guiding principles.

I have had no email as yet. Most recent email was this morning at 0900 saying that F2F activity is still suspended until further notice!

Feels like the SP alerts are a little broken / delayed again :frowning:

So the justification is that this came from the top and out of a command board meeting yesterday authorising release in this way… the messaging appears to be that if you don’t agree with it then raise it with your CoC so please do. Let your Wing Commanders know and make sure they follow up with the relevant RC.

It’s annoying that they can circumvent the chain of command but then they bollock us for responding to the message in the same forum. I now wonder if I’m allowed to reply to emails or if I need to post a handwritten letter?

@Cadet04 Do you know if anything has been pushed to cadet portal? Would be good to get an inside view from a cadet, and I see that you’re online!

Nothing, just this

All face-to-face Air Cadet activity is suspended
In line with the latest Government guidelines on Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to protect the health of our Air Cadets and adult volunteers, all Air Cadet face-to-face activity is suspended as of 1600hrs on 17 Mar 20 until further notice. This includes, but is not limited to, parade nights, weekend events and other activities. Please direct any questions you may have through your unit staff. Further updates will be issued in due course.

And they wonder why the attitude survey said that nobody trusts or likes HQ…

So regarding the Facebook comments; all the negative ones that got removed have now mostly all reappeared. Seems they were ‘hidden’, not deleted, and have now been restored.

Yes, but that’s not the point. If someone needed to use the facilities and they couldn’t it all gets messy in more ways than one.

Would be good to hear from you guys what works and what doesn’t. Not holding my breath for any sort of best practice forum coming out of HQAC.

I think this is just Phase 1 of the 72 Step Process to allow 3 people on site to make an Airfix Model without inhaling to much glue…

…whilst staying in a hand sanitiser bubble

seems they are happy for 900x versions of the same question hitting their inbox…

me? i am hitting forward through the CoC - so everyone now has more work to do, and by Friday the CFAVs in the CoC (ie OC>Sector Off>Wg OC) have filled the Rgn inbox and in turn caused a nuisance at the Ivory Towers just as everyone goes home for the weekend

Although the MOD had given the green light I’m not sure the masses really needed to know via SM. A Bader Announcements email to all CFAVs would have been better suited to update on developments.

What? About one CivCom calling another CivCom dim?

(That’s post was amazing!!)

One advantage we have is that with FB being so not down with the kids these days very few of them are likely to see it…
