Preparing to Return to F2F Activity... Again/Still

Just right for the cadets to see, but what about staff who are working :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:. You can just image the squadron inbox asking all sorts of questions that can’t be answered at this stage.
There’s still work to be done to get buildings ready for occupation.

This should have gone out AFTER the CoC, and I mean Wings/Regions were satisfied that the majority of squadrons were ready :man_facepalming:t2:

That’s fine for us, but for the cadets and parents? It’s nothing but misleading.

oh absolutly.

The internal announcment should have contained a Social Media restriction untill X date when national public announcement would be published.

Now every cadet will be thinking, ok next Monday I’m at cadets again…

The SM bod on Twitter isn’t doing themselves any favours either.

She’s never wrong it seems.

She keeps deleting my comments.

She’s been deleting a few on FB. Saw my Wing Dep OC’s comment go.

They probably imagine like them all staff are wfh and so able to look at cadet things and if they use it SM.

Quite funny that nothing in our neck of the woods has made it to an email yet.

I think we need a rule wrt HQAC etc for announcements an all address email in the first instance and nothing on SM for at least 72 hours to allow people to catch up and give it some thought. Not heard anything yet from anyone on the sqn and keeping schtum for the time being.

Just seen all the comments on Facebook about the CoC disappear too…

Moaning at media (publicly or privately) won’t achieve anything. They just do as instructed.

I complained again to my OC. She has already complained to the Reg OC.

We all need to do the same.

This is a proper cluster muck.

Should never have been released on SM like this.

What’s worse is the attitude of the person editing and deleting messages to make it all seem rosy… then posting “our reputation is paramount”.
Heads should roll for a muck up like this.

They can’t delete your posts on Twitter though…

Agree - at work today, message from a cadet - “Do you have a training program, Sir”… Check FB and there it is… very misleading for cadets. Emergency announcement to parents and cadets to say the devil is in the detail we’ll update them soon…

Shame really, as it rather taints what is a positive step that we should all be happy about!

direct your complainsts to OC’s up the CoC.

Yeah, already done that…

Not my first day mate.

lol, well then jobs done.

Applying even a tiny little bit of thought would have led most people to think ‘oh, let’s make sure our people are clued up first before we tell the world’. Just ‘doing as instructed’ is not really an excuse for putting 900+ unit commanders on the back foot.

To a comment about why any mention of CoC gets deleted…

It’s as if they’re deliberately trying to antagonise us.
