Oh I will. Maybe the sqn neighbours will stop whining if so
You need to get about more…
This is the military. Soap bars are still used all over the place.
Surely soap bars will be cheaper than antibac hand wash type bottles?
Plus, the less plastic used, then better for the environment!
We’ve started using soap bars at home for those two reasons, so it’s got my vote!
I would also argue it is difficult to overuse/abuse a bar of soap as it is a push to dispense gel/liquid soap - I am not necessarily saying Cadets as we tend to have the well behaved ones, but it is known that some of the immature in society pump soap over the floor, or simply use 17 pumps of the stuff and has run out 48hrs after filling it up!
Cannot see why. The restriction would have to apply to a cadet who has actually been to unit before going on the activity. Otherwise, a cadet who is on a unit which has reopened, but hasn’t attended in person could attend an activity.
True.
Was just trying to think of a reason.
It is moo poo.
That logic particularly highlights the stupidity of the rule generally.
- That’s ridiculous.
- How tragic, I’ll have to supernumerary all my cadets to another unit so they can participate in activities
- On a serious note, I wonder if that’s because the cadets are required to have the H&S briefings and an update to stuff like climatic injuries? Seems like a silly reason given how easy it would be to work around that but I wouldn’t put it past HQAC.
Has anyone been given any idea how reopening is going to work in the joint buildings? My WHQ have led me to believe that the joint cadet centres will be reopening later than single-unit buildings, and don’t seem to have any idea as yet about how it’s going to work. I’m also hearing it mooted on the rumour chain (not the most reliable source obviously but I’ve heard it from more than one place) that the ACF aren’t going to allow us back in until at least October.
ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz
Still Hibernating
Let me know if anything definitive happens
RETURN TO FACE TO FACE TRAINING HOW TO GUIDE V1.0
https://tinyurl.com/RAFAC-ReturnToF2FActivity-v1-0
This document covers direction and guidance for the return to face-to-face training following the cessation of all face-to-face Air Cadet activity as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This document does not cover the rules and regulations for more specialist courses and activities such as:
· QAIC
· JL
· Easter/Summer/Autumn Camps
· IACE
· Personal Awareness Course
Mother of God. Who has time to comply with all of that on an average 2 to 3 hour parade night?
When we can have 30 or 40 people on Sqn then yes it’s worth the effort but for a max of 13 cadets. Not really.
This will kill what’s led of the Corpse.
You can have multiple bubbles of 13 . . . different rooms of a building, or +25m seperation when outdoors.
Page 2 and i’m already upset. What’s the “normal” meaning of CFAV? Especially when they refer to “supervising CFAV”
And If I’m correct, this is one of your normal issues with everything from HQAC
Of course It’s just annoying being forgot about when you do more “CFAV” stuff than “actual” CFAVs at your Sqn.
MoD cover us?, all i read was… It is the responsibility of the CO to do this that and the other… who’s head is on the block??
The first footnote GMG a bit:
1 It is recognised that the NYA has jurisdiction for youth activities in England. Notwithstanding, the principles in their guidance have been assumed to be generally applicable in determining those activities which can be authorised. CFAV should check specific national differences in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, especially to do with caps on numbers, activity location restrictions and the specifics of social distancing.
They’ve written a document for England and said it’s up to those of us not in England to work out how it applies to us by ourselves. Thanks guys.
What about toilets etc
Can’t see it atm in the RAFAC Guidance, however taken from the National Youth Agency Amber Aware Guidance
It is not necessary for each bubble to use separate toilets; however, efforts should bemade to limit the numbers of users at a given time. Use of different toilets for eachbubble is ideal. Please consider safeguarding concerns when planning and preparingyour risk assessments.
My toileting cadet 'bubbles would be one for boys and one for girls and the disabled toilet for the staff bubble. With all these bubbles I feel a song coming on.
