Preparing to Return to F2F Activity... Again/Still

Or adding fun stuff to vaccine passports

I’m in the mindset of you have to play ball to be permitted to do stuff in this new world… Medically exempt should be the only excuse. If you don’t want the vaccine that’s fine, just don’t moan when you can’t do what you used to do anymore.

Shhhh. Stop stoking the coals of conspiracy!

Anyone know what the rules are for Minibuses off the top of their head? (If not I will not be lazy and will check when I get home).

No capacity limits but masks & open windows

In England…

Depends what country you are travelling to.

And depends on if MT vehicle :man_shrugging:t2:

Does Derbyshire count as England?

I think it has its own special rules.

So having checked the F2F guide it contradicts itself, the text says all seats can be occupied but the checklist says only 6 passengers in a 15 seat minibus.

I assume that the text is correct and the checklist just hasn’t been updated?

Apply the rule of crap guidance; assume the bit that supports your case is correct.

Yeah that’s the way I was thinking :joy:

In this case that’s also the newer bit, right? Even better!

Apply implied repeal. An addition which contradicts an older provision is taken to overwrite it.

I am increasingly fed up and grumpy with seeing photos of cadets back to activity ignoring the 1m+ rule. Why is it ok for some people to ignore it, and because I’m actually trying to stick to the rules I’m now losing out or making it seem like I’m the bad guy.

I don’t even mean snapshot photos, I mean posed, scripted photos. Just seen a load of camp photos and whilst I’m really pleased the cadets got to do some activity, why is it ok for them to be posing in the armoury stood shoulder to shoulder?

I know. It is seriously frustrating.

Frankly the whole covid rules and secure thing has now passed the point of viability dispute best willingness or intentions.

Returning to normal isnt something that will be issued by email. It is just happening as people give up trying to be the only good guys left.

This is me.

I’ve given up and am now masks only really, will distance when we can but not losing sleep

Yep, I only bother with a mask on the tube and even then only if the other people on the carriage are bothering.

talking more generally i have found it pointless.

I was in a queue weekend before last and maintained at least 1.5m from the person in front of me. I even extended that gap as the length of the queue had blocked an access route, so made an obvious gap to allow passing by pedestrians to cut through. the guy behind me could have breathed on my next he was so close to me throughout.
it is much the same in the supermarkets. I can try as hard as I might to maintain a 1m distance, but then someone else will ignore that and stretch across me.

i am finding it draining maintaining a distance no one else wishes to acknowledge or respect

Agreed, some will have seen the photos from the event I was at at the weekend.
We were briefed 2m distancing by the host, then the cadets were imediately formed up with standard dressings.

I hate this in normal circumstances. I shouldn’t be able to hear you breathe!

That might become the new rule on the squadron actually…

“if you can hear breathing, swallowing, stomach gurgling, you’re too close”
