Preparing to Return to F2F Activity... Again/Still

Wow…
Sorry to hear that.

Just beggars belief.

I had the same, FRA dropped our max capacity.

Which I see as a post Covid problem.

Anyone got any idea why our buildings are suddenly not safe for the same number of people?

@themajor arent you in a “new build” as well?

It’s coming up to 10 years old + now.

Lol. That’s still a ‘new build’
As in not a nissan hut etc…

If 10 years old it was built under all modern building regs so beggars belief that your FRA needs changing. Unless it has had a substantial change of use?

Yeah my wooden scout hut building that’s falling apart was built in 1954 :joy:

Looks like bubbles are gone. Might need to keep wearing masks indoors though; NYA is going to recommend their wear in certain circumstances. They have recommended thinking hard about group sizes and the impact of any positive test, so I wonder if we might still see some group size restrictions from a RAFAC perspective.

Residential also allowed with no restrictions other than a recommendation to continue with LFTs. Recommendation is 6 per tent / room.

Our building was an old coach house. You don’t know you’re born!

Listening to the NYA briefing…So hopefully it will be from HQAC…

Masks stay if needed indoors.
Bubbles gone.
All distancing gone, except in windowless death trap Sqns.

Would mean I can get the whole Sqn together again.
Focus on recruitment.
Deliver activities at scale.
Reduce admin planning burden

Seems all good, logical and fine from NYA.

HQAC balls in your court, not to stymie Sqns.

Damn… my world record attempt for max number of people inadvertently 4 man tent is off the cards then…

:rofl::joy:

Not quite - still recommended in poorly ventilated spaces under the ‘COVID responsible’ baseline measures.

Yeah ok.

I’m speaking for me and my Sqn at this point.
I dont have any windowless rooms or crawl spaces.

The questions have just suggested I’m wrong actually - someone just asked and he said yes, social distancing is binned. Hmm, pretty sure that wasn’t what he said on the first slide or so! Will wait to see what the doc says I guess.

They’re waiting on clarification from Cabinet Office on whether the 6 per room/tent is a recommendation or legal requirement apparently - from what was in the questions

Yeah, I asked in the chat whether they could make clear that those 6 can mix with others during the day - otherwise someone is bound to interpret that as a ‘6 person bubble’ during residential activity.

That was a good question.

Seems like a few of us are on the stream. We could have held a watch party.

(I am hiding at work ‘working on a report’)

Unfortunately it didn’t get answered so hopefully it’s clearer in the documentation.

I think it was at the end of the presso just before Leigh took questions - they can mix for meals, free time and even with YP from other groups entirely so I’d say that’s a yes.

Ah right, I must have tuned out for that bit. That’s good then.

If I can work out how to get the closed captions up, I can double check, but right now YouTube is autoplaying an NHS Covid lecture
