Ambulance long service and good conduct. Should be in front of CFM though.
thankyouā¦ never seen one before
Not unless it is the Ambulance Service (Emergency Duties) Long Service and Good Conduct Medal
It does come after the CFM in the order of wear. Incidentally it looks like that needs updating to reflect the recent jubilee and coronation medals.
I do notice the CFM is one below the Queenās Medal (For champion shots of the Air Forces) in the official list of priority for medals.
And the fact we now have a Kingā¦
That as well!
On a different note, does anybody know what this medal is? Itās in Guernsey if that helps. I initially though Lt Gov but thatās all-green, not green and black.
Its their version of LLC they have a royal governorā¦been approved by HQAC from what im told. Popped up just after i left the Wing
Interesting that the CFM is above the RFA Service Medal and the Ambulance Drivers medal (they are both relatively new medals) but Iām surprised itās above the Royal Observer Corps Medal.
Iām surprised the ambulance one is so far down the list when police and fire are substantially higher up. Iām happy to stand corrected though
Itās the age of the awards I think 1951 for the Police 1995 for the Ambulance Service.
Desperately looking for a reference, but Iām quite sure there comes a point where miniatures too are to be overlapped. Itās just rare anyone gets to the point where itās deemed necessary.
I believe the point at which itās necessary is officially when medals span centre of chest to left arm seam.
Too many redirects on the link, so canāt follow!
Try now. If it still doesnāt work look up Legs Medal Mounting on Instagram! Itās his 4th most recent post.
Shudders.
Is that your friend from before?
I think Instagram was disagreeing with Apple private relay.
Great example. Good find.
Something to aspire to.
Iāve got a coronation miniature on pre-order and it wonāt come for a few weeks. Not sure how that has arrived so quickly!
Incidentally, this is one reason why I think wearing ribbons on working dress would be great. I think thereās huge value in displaying what youāve achieved, both as a talking point, but also to inspire new-joiners (or cadets) into exemplary service themselves.
We donāt do it for the medals, but we shouldnāt forget the value they hold. Shame to only see them a couple of times a year (and normally in miniature form).
Aircrew requested this along with pin brevets a couple of years ago, got poo pooed by the uniform policy group
