Pretty standard now on most pages. It helps stop spam. It also helps prevent posts going viral, as they can’t snowball too hard if only those already following can interact.

Interestingly, all the SM posts from her and HQ mention the fact that she has come to the end of her 10 year commission, and yet she was appointed in Nov ‘14.
I make that 9 months short, but then again I haven’t made a career out of being good at maths.

You really don’t like her, do you? You’ve made it pretty clear, but that’s just nitpicking.
If someone asks me how long I’ve been with my current employer, I’d probably just say 9 years. Even though I joined in Aug 2015… That’s pretty normal imo.

She does just seem like a very fortunately wealth individual who has had the opportunity to excel in aviation via nepotism (although I am sure she’s a lovely person nevertheless).
Makes me think to the “Civvie” wings some cadets have which to me = middle class family.
Are there no former cadets who have achieved noticeable fame?
Unfortunately there are a lot who’ve achieved noticeable infamy.
I remember a special branch brief about RWE & the number who were ex air cadets was mind boggling.
What would be so wrong in simply poaching some soon to retire AVMs and AMs into this role.
Get them out and about a bit ‘for the cause’.
Obviously only those who volunteer and have an interest in youth development etc.
