I think what we need to do is set what the actual criteria is first so in my mind :-

  • notable media presence outside of the RAF/Armed Forces
  • of suitable character for working with children
  • notable interest in youth work, stem or aviation
  • young enough to be known to the cadets but old enough to be known to the adults (so between 30 & 50)

Working in this criteria I’m thinking that perhaps an ex-blue peter presenter might be a good shout such as Helen Skelton.

Hamza Yassin might be also a good one.

If you can’t see our ambassador doing strictly or the wheel they probably haven’t got a high enough profile to be relevant.
