The real big question is…will the new MTP take the stretching some of our staff will give it! ;-)[/quote]

Do we have a structural engineer in the house?

Yesterday it said “your”.
Both my lads are CCF(Army) as well as ATC and have MTP. Because my eldest is slightly bigger than me, I thought I’d wear his MTP just to see what all the fuss is about.
It wasn’t that comfortable but maybe thats because I wore the jacket tucked in and the kit was brand new and hadn’t been through several washes yet. I haven’t completely made up my mind whether I’m in favour of MTP or not but in the meantime, I’ll just go on wearing my CS95 as I don’t quite feel the urgency to leap into another type of uniform solely because its available on the open market.

We need to establish the ‘overpressure’ that MTP can take before a catastrophic failure. Will they need a reinforced gusset, or steel wire used on the stomach/ chest buttons. What is the max shear pressure velcro can stand?
I await you findings …
I can’t see it having any issues containing my God-like physique, although I do worry about whether it’ll hold my ego in OK.
You know, Buddha isn’t actually a god

We could use a titanium reinforced gusset however it maybe easier to get rid of the beer gut and go to the gym …
Anyone know when the updated ap1358c is due out? Also, when it does come out anyone able to post a coy of it on the forum?
At current speeds, roughly when MTP goes out of service
It will go up on Ultilearn when it’s out. Failing that 200 Sqn usually have it on their website pretty sharpish.

The wording of No.3SD regs in AP1358C
0223. Variations in CS95/MTP dress will be subject to exercise/training requirements, location and climate; the necessary mode will be decided upon through the relevant OC Wg / Wg Ex O / Sqn Ldr CCF HQAC. CS95/MTP is never to be worn mixed together or in a combination with any other uniform modes.
What about CS95 Goretex jacket on a range with MTP uniform on? It’s either CS95 or a civvie jacket in the mean time. I’ve just forked out £100 for MTP shirt, troos and smock with 2 sets of blanking plates.
Obviously keeping away from cameras, any outside visitors, and off any parades - surely it would be common sense to allow someone to keep dry?

I am pretty sure that there is an exception for cs95 goretex being worn with MTP there somewhere. Even the regulars had to do that at first.
EDIT: Here’s the section:
" Suit: DPM waterproof gortex jacket & trousers either CS 95/MTP for bad weather conditions."

Is that £100 for one smock, one shirt and one pair of trousers? If so you overpaid!

I’m aware of people ordering a full set for £60, not bad given my Windproof CS95 Smock cost me £50 in the day.

£90 for the above, a further £10 for the 4 blanking plates (2 sets) inc. shipping.
I’m not bothered, a few days ATC pay will cover it. I haven’t claimed any pay yet (except mileage), and I’m not missing it.
There is no need for Cadets in MTP. Let alone PCS.
PCS was designed for use under Osprey.
Cadets dont use Osprey.
We dont even want to wear it.
I have aired my opinions on the matter elsewhere. So I wont get into it too much here.
Dry your eyes. People will have got their knickers in a twist over CS95 when that was brought in too.
