Mtp

To me it’s the station clothing store, failing that I might have to have a word in the QMS of the RE Regt just moving in  I’ll not buy the stuff unless I have to!

MTP PCS Uniform
With immediate effect all ACO units and individuals are to cease contacting unit Clothing Stores in regards to the issue of PWS MTP-PCS uniform. Unit Clothing Stores will contact relevant Wing Hq’s as and when stocks of such garments are available for collection.

They never phone me…[/quote]

Available? I thought we weren’t getting issued it? #confused

I take it ACO staff are issued with greens when they do the OIC (or whatever it’s called). When stores run out of CS95 - which I believe they have in a few sizes, even in the main depots - they’ll have to issue MTP. Whilst there’s still CS95 in the system, they’ll probably want to issue as much of that as possible.

We’re not getting it issued (CTT, SATTs, and JL excepted).
This refers to the supply of Part Worn Servicable kit that will appear in the disposal bins (and presumably will now be allocated for us).

We get issued the beret and beret badge (only worn with DPM by officers), the TRF and FI patches and the thick black socks - but not the actual uniform!

I got boots as well.

No. 554.
I wonder if we can get to 1000 by Christmas. Perhaps we could do a Children in Need thing

I really don’t understand this hostility. This topic is up to the minute relevant. Dealing with new problems and new contradictions, boldly going where no uniform thread has gone before. Why do you hate it so much?

Even tonight MyFace and spacebook have gone mad about posts re: CFAVs bugging stores up and down the country for PWS MTP. The relevance and importance of this fact cannot be overstated. Do you not realise that the allyness of CS95 increases with every CFAV who changes into MTP? It’s almost enough to make me want to buy a set of trops!

556 now

I have a set of Tropical DPM. worn when it rains so i can become almost invisible in the field

Ah, ok (Unless you’re an Hon. Gp Capt Cyclist then!). I’d like to be surprised, as I thought my assumption was correct, but I’m not!

Quite right too - unless a RegtO or Helicopter mate.

I wonder if they do these in MTP? I reckon we’re going to need them!

Very Ally.

I am confused are we allowed to wear MTP or Not ?

As it specifies on AP1358Cthat we are not to wear mtp.

We are, with an update to AP1358C coming imminently, apparently. (Does raise the interesting question as to why they updated the policy piecemeal when it would have been much simpler to update all policy documents simultaneously.)

Just. Don’t. Go. There!

  This takes sadness to a whole different level. Are they requesting tissues as well?

Probably because the document was dated Aug, and JLs have been issued their kit and were getting grief off non JL staff.

1 OC SATT has been wearing his since June anyway, as authorised by CAC

The mods have had to remove a number of posts over the last 24 hours. Stay on topic ladies and gents otherwise the whole topic will be locked.

K, Thanks.

I have sufficient CS95 to last me out of the Corps, in all likelihiood. I will continue to waer it until they tell me I can’t anymore because I like being ‘old school’ and it remains perfectly suitable and serviceable.

Equally I’ll not have anyone criticising any of my cadets for wearing ‘old kit’ unless they want to round on me too.

I shall probably start to squirrel away what I can get of MTP for when the sad day comes that my Pyjama95 has to be retired.

[canofworms]Should we be saving CS95 for issue to CIs who have a legitimate reason for wearing Camos, but are not permitted to wear uniform? [/canofworms]
