So on a practical note then, where is the best place to source MTP from at the moment?

I tend towards allowing my cadets maximum flexibility within the rules. So on a âblues nightâ I am perfectly happy if one cadet has his sleeves rolled up, two have their sleeves rolled down (one with stable belt - either pattern) and No 4 has a jumper on. And if theyâre female, some can be in trousers and some in slacks. I think itâs far more important that whatever mode of uniform they decide is best, they wear it correctly.[/quote]
This!! If only I could convince the OC, who wants cadets to suddenly jump into jumpers if that is what he is wearing GMG
Militarykit.com, the guy that runs it has a deal with the MOD he was one of the first to actually be allowed to sell OFFICIAL MTP, so now he has a good lot of G1 kit including ancilleries and equipment
I disagree⌠Stay clear of them. Theyâre overpriced.
If you can wait a few weeks/days keep your eye on ebay. Plenty of bargains to be had for the savvy shopper.
Failing that ring a mate in the RAF and blag⌠(substitte RAF for Army, TA, RMs etc etc as you see fit)
I concur with Leeroy.
If youâre looking to buy then eBay still has the best bargains. Naturally the price has doubled in the last few days but thereâs pleanty of kit out there. Just decide how much youâre willing to spend and wait for your bargain.
I bought a second, brand new lightweight jacket (having scrounged the first) for ÂŁ6 a few weeks ago. No need to spend ÂŁ29.95 from militarykit.com
Iâd love to know where they think this âcivilian manufactured MTPâ is?
Done. Just need a smock now! Itâs very simple if you have friends in the forces. Wrong, but simple.
Otherwise, Field Textiles are usually quite good for stuff.

Helikon do their own version of PCS which is pretty similar.
It is similar. As is the Vista ATP pattern (though little clothing appears to be made with it).
But none of these are actually MTP, nor PCS pattern.
It makes you wonder whether they just donât realise that itâs not identical to the issue kit and some point down the line will get upset because people are wearing Multicam clothing, or clothing that is vastly different in design to PCS?

The Helikon stuff is in PCS pattern. The camouflage isnât quite MTP but is closer than ATP, it is just a bit darker. After a few washes and a bit of fading it would probably look close enough to MTP anyway. I just stick to issue kit though - it is cheaper.
Considering the variation in actual issue kit (certainly with CS95, havenât seen enough MTP up close yet) Iâd say that you could probably get away with quite a lot.
Ah, I hadnât seen their newer stuff. I was going by their camogrom range which is of course very different.

The PCS on that page is by Helikon.

Youâll soon get a whingeagram from them though, once itâs been on the shelf a day.
Havenât been on here for a long timeâŚ
Soo militarykit.com sells the genuine pcs and not the fake stuff?

Isnât Ebay still under that whole, if its on there it shouldnât be, because only a few places are able to legitamitly get if off the MOD, and they all have shops thing?
