Not entirely sure which typo they have fixed, I think it might be the one regarding recordings? It says they will be recorded in one place and they may in another. Oh, and it still says Live Flying Marksmanship Training. After they spotted the first typo did they not maybe… think to look for more?

I haven’t seen either of those, learning difficulty is pretty common.
Pretty common in regards to Learning Difficulties, but ADHD, Autism and Asperger’s are not LD ! It’s like suggesting someone with Epilepsy has an LD…
The incidence of LD as an additonal diagnosis in people who are neurodivrerse is higher than the wider population but it would be wrong to say that those that are neurodiverse have a LD unless they have another diagnosis.

The son of one of our neighbours is at uni in his 1st year and put his dad as his guarantor for accomodation next year. This was done online with a fill in the gaps form that he signed electronically and sent them scans of the documentation they wanted. When he told me he was being guarantor he was waiting for a large envelope and an equally large one to return and toing and froing with docs. He was pleasantly surprised. He said there were compulsory and optional bits. This would be useful for cadet forms where parents either don’t put what we need or put in the wrong box.
It is bizarre that we do SC via a link and out here in the real world DBS is done online and doesn’t need certifying like we have to.
Consent forms and all the BS for new staff done this way with a link sent to the OC for info saying it’s done and whoever the OC delegates to. If a counter sig is needed this could be done easily and pinged to the next one who has to sign it and so on. We could almost do away with some of the Air Cadet seat warmers as there would be no need to check forms.
I’m not convinced about trying to make it import into SMS. Electronic jointery hasn’t been at all successful in that regard for one reason or another. It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to see it falling over and having to do it manually, so don’t bother in the first place. At least if you do it yourself you know it is correct.
When I saw this I was reminded of Admin Burden Reduction … whatever happened to that?

It was quietly renamed the “Admin Process Management Team” around the time that they doubled the number of forms on sharepoint.
That’s the way to do it… Failing at the task? Just rename the team for a new task.
Anyone know if the email about new 3822A was sent out to parents yesterday as planned. I haven’t even seen anything on Bader mail, just the SharePoint announcement and on here.
Mine’s just arrived. Helpfully the e-mail says about e-mailing the completed forms to the OC but doesn’t give any contact details, instead says the cadet needs to look up the relevant squadron staff on Cadet Portal… I wonder how many I get printed out and handed to me?
I think all the typos/things they got wrong pointed out in this thread have now been fixed… they’re watching!
Sad they can’t get it right first time and have to rely on comments on a forum to point out their sloppy and incompetent working ethic.
Obviously not even the faintest nod to proof reading or quality control before release. But should we be surprised?

It doesn’t explicitly, but it implies it in the parent’s letter. But you can’t upload it anywhere else to the cadet’s profile anyway.

You need to cross check the new form against the record on SMS as well and add any updates. I haven’t tried that yet, but hopefully not as painful as it sounds.
