Are you going to ask cadets to strip off shirts to check?
If they are in tshirt order, no logos… but, if they have a shirt on, I’m not going to check.
I’m not going to stop issuing camp tshirts with logos or similar, as sometimes that’s all a cadet gets.
Plus, I have a box in storage of old camp tshirts, and keep getting more…
…. I really need to get the tailors to make a camp tshirt blanket……

I really don’t think we should be charging cadets for something that we claim is “uniform” but isn’t and they therefore should not be wearing.
So then you want to go to T Shirt order for Climatic Injuries etc. but some won’t be able to do so becuase they are wearing the shirt you’ve issued & charged them for.
The reality here is we should just reduce the cost of the activity - or provide a polo/hoodie that is a clear non uniform item if it really is needed.

Yes.
Its an alignment with the air force, but without it issued all we can discrete is colour and no branding.
But there are avenues on the DPSG hub to request for the wording to be relaxed. Use the suggestion form not the feedback form

The cost of living means we should make things as affordable and accessible as possible. And reducing/removing cost of non essential items is key imo, although not the motivation behind this. And these t-shirts are expensive in the grand scheme of things

I’ve got probably a dozen or so OG green t-shirts at with some kind of camp logo or similar. My old old OC did plain black logos right below the next line in the center so you could show it off when in No 3s!
This isn’t really a good use of their money though, and there’s often unspoken pressure not to miss out.
Add to that the fact that it’s not an item of uniform they can use and it then becomes a bit wasteful, as noble as the intent is.
I have various team polos etc and most of them become a bit useless after the event and go in the generic “sports t-shirt” box, of which I have too many.
Instead, we’d be better off providing centrally branded and consistent kit, rather than pursuing endless sub-branding, which isn’t approved.

I shall stop issuing O/G camp t-shirts, which they could wear under their uniform before.
I mostly do military skills, so assuming a bright purple camp hoodie would be more appropriate?
What would you suggest? Or maybe not issue anything at all?
If there’s a need for official civvy kit, we can just do things like unit or corps polos with correct branding, ideally officially sourced. Then it’s a t-shirt etc they can use any time they need it for such a scenario — the t-shirt isn’t instantly out of date (or replaced by a new camp t-shirt on the next camp they may have used it at).
I wouldn’t do anything for a specific camp if I’m honest. Anything they may buy should be useful across the board. It’s already frustrating that they need two separate uniforms with both shoes and boots.
Mine are Olive Green wicking T-Shirts with the ATC Crest/Badge/Logo on the chest with Exercise “whatever it is this Week” 2026 on it.
Use it at the squadron whenever you’re in greens, use it for a sports night…

Another take - my cadets went on a camp, T-shirts included in the price for all, and they loved them, still wear them to this day (in greens and generally), because it’s a tangible memory of the camp

This is an issue we really should be tackling. Even if we move to just greens!
I’d be happy moving to just greens, even if cadets have to buy it all themselves (as they currently do).
I just don’t think staying in blue for the idea of the light blue footprint is worth the drawbacks.
