IBN 011/2026 - ACP 1358V5

Seems to be a bit of tradition to have a thread for new IBNs now, so here we go!

I’ll kick it off with this being a breath of fresh air:

This IBN does not act as policy, the policy itself can be found in [relevant policy doc].

Please please please if anyone at HQRAFAC reads this can we have this line put in bold at the top of every new IBN with the relevant doc adjusted accordingly….

Whoa, it’s only taken a couple of decades for people to realise how to release policy properly.

It is mildly irritating that I just sent out a message to our entire sqn referencing a part of the AP that has just been updated…

Although I will congratulate @AlexCorbin on at least partially killing the monster that was 3A - although why not straight to 3B?

GPJs permitted for indoor wear.

Future proofing.

Yeah controversial one but trying to be pragmatic.

I assume this is the “MTP Thermal Jacket” it is referring to? But on fleabay can’t find any for sale. Also doesn’t seem to be any references on google apart from this one other forum

It is, and currently unobtainable (I’ve seen only a single one on flea bay) other than through issue, however even then it’s only loaned for those on deployment to Estonia etc, hence the lack of fleabay sales.

It’s the beginning of the slippery slope

Plenty of time to phase out. Because the DPSG are nice like that

In all seriousness - this is the first stab releasing dress regs with this Comms strategy. If anyone is willing/brave enough to give feedback, even if it’s not to your cup of tea drop me an email. It helps us get better and make it work for you.

Note - not the actual contents but the way it was released and communicated.

I think the detail on the 7th CLASP doesn’t match the picture….

On that, has anyone ever got to a 7th Clasp?

Ah, I was going to say a few typos and inconsistencies between the IBN and policy but the comms seemed effective this time round.
