Yeah it has, lost some corners and chicane’s. Added a banked corner.

In theory it should be more of a Mercedes track

Indeed, I don’t think RB quite wanted to do that. I wonder if Merc will pit early for hards maybe and try for track position.

I hope he’ll go for the undercut of the centry and go to the pits on like lap 5, straight to the hards, make up a bunch of time, take Hamilton before he even pits because Max pitted that early. Get so much of a lead that he’ll pit for softs just at the end, get fastest lap and win.

Right then

Lewis or Max

Who do you want to win and who do you think will win?

For me it’s Lewis on both counts.

Me too, I’m not a fan of either, so in this those circumstances I’ve got to go fro The Brit.

I’m full on anti Lewis and 100% Max to win

There will be tears a bed time… I’m happy I actually despise Lewis so a good result in my books

Mercedes will be disputing the race I suspect

Interesting that they quoted the regs there suggesting the officials literally made up the rules there at the end. You either let all the lapped cars pass, or none. Hay-Ho, race is done now. :man_shrugging:

I’m going to sleep well tonight knowing at the end of the day Max won

Which is the thing, unless there is something in the regulations which says “the race director can do whatever they want in the interests of the race”.

I can totally understand why Mercedes are angry, it’s should’ve been all or none.

It’s not about who won (Max is an ■■■■, his driving style is dangerous, and his dad shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the sport), but who lost: the FIA. The stewarding needs sorting out and actual rules need to put in place that can be followed.

Pretty sure this was levelled at Hamilton a few years ago. Not an avid follower, but didn’t he have a pretty crashy phase?

Yes, though his were more unforced errors, and partly a result of driving a car that wasn’t of a winning standard and going beyond what the car was capable of.
And then he changed his style as a result.

Max is driving in the style of “I’m going to pass you, or you’re going to crash”.

Still sounds like two sides of the same aggressive style coin…

Nah, one’s cocking up, the other is doing it deliberately.

Neither are good, but one’s definitely worse.
